I myself don’t like it …So far Al’s solo is no where near as good as with sympathy or Twitch…It is no where near fad Gadget (sound wise or as good as). The drums sound odd on both this new track and the Xmas track. I was hoping for a more synth sounding track…BUT WHATEVER! [:(]…Al needs Wempathy back in the band to have a great sounding record!!![:)]
I’ve only heard the preview on Myspace. I don’t dislike it. Sound better than Got Cock! [:)]
isthisstricly JUST al? if not who’s he working with… i’ve always said he’s only as good as the sum of his other parts.
Haven’t listened yet, but OH MY GOD WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH THE FAGGY AMATEUR ARTWORK…
EDIT: Just gave it a listen. Nothing terribly exciting. I STILL like “Trojan Horse” a lot, though.
Is the song “out there”? Curious to hear this. Looked a little yesterday,
unsuccessfully.
Yeah the art work reminded me of Where the wild things are…lol…And what is the first bubble say…Smash the Guitar?..lol. So far i haven’t found it anywhere other then if you buy Got Cock…I got it from itunes it came with got cock as a bonus track.

He couldn’t afford me. On second thought, there’s probably not enough money in the world anyway.

Yeah and you most likely wouldn’t want to put up with the bull crap that comes with AL now days…lol. It would be cool to see You,Stephen George and AL doing music together again though. Even if it was a few tracks…Doing the sound before with Sympathy… stuff in the style of same old madness, I’m Falling… Great tunes…I drive around in my car blasting that stuff!!!
Yeah and you most likely wouldn’t want to put up with the bull crap that comes with AL now days…lol.
I refused to put up with it in 1984. I’m, sure as fuck, not gonna start now. [cool]

Are you still involved in music? What do you do now? Sorry if this has been covered I just don’t remember it ever being mentioned.

Do I consider myself a musician? I’m a much better musician and singer now than I was 25 years ago. I haven’t been onstage in a couple of years when I was playing with VendooZa, but I still practice everyday. Besides, what does music have to do with putting up with Al? [:)]

I was just wondering what you did for a living now… You know the guys from DEVO became computer programmers or something along those lines, the pop singers from Color me bad; one of them sells tires now… Was wondering if you were still involved in music professionally or selling tires or living off of royalties or what… I understand if it’s private.

I’ll eat my hat if Wempathy is living off the royalties of “With Sympathy”.
He doesn’t have any writing credits. How would he be getting royalties?
As for Voices In My Head, I think I would love it if he would just realize he doesn’t need to do the Ministry shout. If he just SANG, like he used to do, this “solo” material would be SO much better.
He actually sounds better than he did on the last two and a half ministry albums (cover up = half). Less screaming would be nice, but eh. I also get a Lay Lady Lay vibe from this. Is Saccia on this one too? Can’t say i’ve ever heard him play anything closely melodic before.
I was just wondering what you did for a living now…
I’m a Studio Engineer. Following my gig at NASA-TV I was able to land a job with a leading aerospace company working in a creative albeit corporate environment. I still get to play with mixers and mics and cameras and editing equipment but the pace is a lot slower. I do have a nice view out of my office window…so I got that going for me.

That’s great. so… you compose music for the elevators or are you making training videos and such?
Is NASA tv in anyway related to actually NASA or is it simply a feed of mission control centers that you had to keep up and running? Sorry for all the questions (especially if you’ve already answered them and I was to dense to pick up on/remember it) I understand if you ignore me…

Yeah, that’s the way to do it.
I love that I work in audio but I don’t have to stay up all night dealing with drunk/stoned musicians.

The backroom where I worked, and there are many in support of the missions, was considered mission critical. We’d take dozens of video feeds, and hundreds of audio feeds and make not just the Program Feed for broadcast … but feeds for the Media and archival equipment. We set up the on-orbit live shots with the crew. I was lucky because my career at NTV overlapped the time when NASA was involved with not just Shuttle but MIR & ISS. That was during missions. We did press conferences and interviews and educational programming. I really enjoyed the job, not so much the location.
I remember NASA-TV. They used to have that on cable when I lived in Orlando. Sometimes that channel would just show shots of the earth from the Space Shuttle.
That’s SOP during either crew sleep time or non-mission periods.
Yeah, that’s the way to do it.

Amen.
That’s awesome wemp! I’m fascinated by astronomy! you are lucky you get to work in that field.
