another Bush sounding tune…not for me. Anyone have this?
I find the word balloons of Al’s character very interesting given the name of the song.
I don’t know how the song sounds like the Bush trilogy. Here I actually hear the The The influence in terms of song structure. I like the shouty vocals pretty well but think the lyrics are danged poor (obviously the The The influence doesn’t carry over to Al’s ability to write lyrics).
I enjoy the clip and will pick up the album. I suspect I’ll like the album better than any Ministry since “Mole” but doubt it will be my favorite of the year or even top ten material.
i was hoping it would have more of a lyrical style like ‘World’ or ‘The Fall’… i didnt think so until someone told me he wrote the lyrics to ‘The Fall’, but he can be outwardly introspective when he wants to be.
i am liking the vibe though. i actually like the christmas song, i mean… the lyrics were silly, but i liked the sound and even his voice.
i hope there are some good lyrics on the album at one point though… haha.

I’m hearing Khyber Pass sped up…the bass is different/he’s screaming and sounds pissed off. I’ve heard Al in the past be pissed off but the vocal approach was different. I guess the new ministry just doesn’t want me to listen to it over & over like the old days. I’m trying to look for Al to put anything that’s interesting out but I haven’t heard anything since Paul left. Bloodlines & the Christmas song I can handle to a degree.
I said this in a previous thread - I like the music, but he’s just got to let the shouty vocals go. It doesn’t fit his current direction at all.
This was pretty bad. Christ, what happened to Al?!? He can’t put out one good song!
The shouty vocals are awful. He needs to actually sing like we’ve heard him sing in rare instances (“Friend of the Devil”).
This cock rock/nu metal aesthetic is really bad and has marred everything he’s done for years.
