VISCERAL PUISSANCE VERSUS INTELLECTUAL FERVOR

This thread is like a poetry slam place where we can cut loose and defile the prestine mother goose.

Maybe you have a knack for word play or maybe you write poems or short stories…novellas & such!

Let loose your inhibitions and explore the urge to express your thoughts and ideas about anything…there is nothing taboo or forbidden…be spontaneous and controversial or simply be yourself…

You can also unveil your adoration for certain things…don’t be afraid to be explicit yet elegant and seductive if those impulses pass thru you or just be abstinent of lewdness and flutter ur wings while oozing in serenity…

sometimes it takes more courage to be gentle and kind than it does to be ferocious and bombastic…this thread could be our version of Dead Poets Society~

What is your Existential Calling?
What is your Destiny?
Are you a serendipitous soldier or a minion of kismet catastrophe?

Choose wisely and keep your eyes on the prize, baby!!
[;)][shocked][;)][laugh][shocked]

Bathed in tranquility is the pavor nocturnus vs. the wretched pomposity of the luminous morn~~

good idea.

I rarely if ever share my work on the internet, I’ve only performed at open mic at local book stores or Slam poetry clubs in NYC.

here’s a short one. it’s from a series of short pieces focusing on trying to have a positive mind set. that series was inspired by working with kids in very unfortunate situations.

Your mind is a forest
Some places are darker than others
And you can get lost in the woods
Very easily
But there are open spaces
Places where the light shines through
Sometimes you’ll have to
Cut some trees down
Sometimes you’ll have to
Plant new seeds

Felt good to read that…thnx for sharing, Sean [angelic]

thanks! I’ll share more sporadically. I’m compiling all the short pieces and planning to self-publish it by the end of the year…will also be my first self-published work.

they’re all pretty basic and free flowing, not too technical, not too eloquent in style, so it can reach people from teens to adults. basically anyone who needs a bit of positivity in their life. a stark contrast from all the long dark pieces I used to write. the project has been very therapeutic and at while looking back on the pieces (all done within the last year or two), at times I wonder, is it my past self talking to my future self, or my future self talking to my past self

I like that piece a lot!
