Gotta say this one has the potential to be like a radio hit…catchy tune and love the scratching by Swamp…it also be nice to see them do a video for the title track, Amerikkka !!
Too bad theyre not playing Amerikkka live. Has that lingering quality, like out of the blue, ya start humming it. Be cool if the video is like a parody on Schwarzenegger cuz of that sample of him: my FAV sample off the whole album. [cool]
Anyway, I really love this video for VOAC & it be nice to see Ministry gain sum chart success again like the old days…wonder if Nuclear Blast is inclined to push them in that respect?! Dont see why they wouldnt…especially when considering how damn friggin good this song is!
Enjoy…I really loved it. So they played Amerikkka at the Anaheim show?!
I have to check that out…is there fan footage on YouTube…its definitely got Hit Single potential & just as good as VOAC if not better. Love the sax or horns on the chorus & Als voice has that unique esoteric quality of old that I often miss cuz hes traded it up for Cookie Monster vocals mostly (tho I am a sucker for his grisly growl too).
Maybe we can start a petition to inspire Uncle Al to play Amerikkka & while were at it lets coax him into doing Double Tap…another classic that never saw the vantage point of a RnR Stage !!
Oops I realize that how I wrote this thread was kinda vague…sorry for the confusion…Im a mess & was referring to the song Amerikkka & how it be awesome for them to play it live & also do a music video.
I edited my thread to make it more clear…my apologies once again for the ADHD fueled overlapping sentences that reads like a sugar coma mishap, lol [laugh][laugh]
edit 2: That video was WAY cooler than those pre-release lyric videos
Very Cool…thnx man!
Uncle Al should get some kind of special award like a Grammy for being an excellent Sample-smith…Ministry (& side projects) have sum clever ones that stand out & resonate with you many moons later…its part of what gives Ministry their vintage quality.
Some accolades should go to Paul Barker though…Im sure back when he was 50% Ministry, lotsa dem samples were of his devise. Guess well never really know… [:(]
Well then, allow me to lend another helping hand. They [3teeth] are pretty far away from rap [;)] - and have “a few things” more in common with Ministry aside from sampling mr. Chaplin
I’ve never seen the film, but, yes, “The Great Dictator” is the film that those samples are from.
Back around 1990 Andy Prieboy used some of the lines in “That Was The Voice” on his debut solo album “Upon My Wicked Son”. He’s a pissy guy about his stuff being on YouTube (which is ironic and sad since all his shit is also out of print and scarce as fuck) . . . . but hunt it down if you can. It’s the only track of his that I can recall him using film voice samples in that manner.
