Hey Ive seen “Vh1 Classic” on pics of tour posters. Does this mean a little exposure on telly?
It means we’re all old. I remember when VH1 was all Phil Collins, all the time.[:/]
Ha, yeah. I was talking to Grmpysmrf about that the other day; being old and actually watching VH1! Hey, last week was “The Story of Metal,” and it was damn interesting, actually. Seeing the footage of the “Explicit Sticker Hearings,” featuring Dee Snyder versus Tipper Gore, again after 20 years was a total riot. I can’t wait for the next outrage to occur so people can go back to blaming rock music again…that’s entertainment. Eh, I guess it’s video games’ turn to take the heat from the ignorant for awhile.
But yeah, VH1 has interesting programming and plays music videos occasionally, unlike that other station, Empty Vee. I guess I am old…

It could if it means seeing “Revenge” on VH1 Classic, but that would be just a wee bit misleading if they ran a tour promo on the heels of “Revenge”
I’ve seen the Revenge video quite a few times now on VH1C, namely on ‘The Alternative’. In-fact, I remember Eddie Trunk promoting the 2004 tour and album, and then playing Revenge, so it has happened! [:)]

I always wonder how much validity there is to these arguments. Serious studies have shown a strong link between exposure to violence/sexually explicit acts on television and violent/sexually explicit behavior in children. My favorite of these studies is the “NoTel” study where they tracked the change in society before and after television was introduced to a small rural town in Canada.
The change was amazing: increased violence in children, decreased attendance of community events, decreased involvement in the community, decreased outdoor recreation etc…really sad stuff
As for music that’s a whole other can of worms and I don’t think its effects could possibly be gauged in any meaningful manner but suffice it to say I don’t think it has nearly the kind of impact that explicit violence on TV does for children.
“Revenge” followed by “Lielieslies” would be a great combo on Classic/Current.
