this is the musician of the youtube generation. when i was learning how to play guitar i learned from the record. now kids are watching the piece being played.
i could ramble on about how when i go to concerts i know the set list before i ever get there. i digress…

I never could get into guitars with a whammy bar. I had an Epiphone Les Paul with one and hated the thing. Basically traded it for an Agile single cutaway. I don’t recall what they call it but I’ve had it for about 5 years now and really like it. I keep threatening to replace the pickups with some P90s, I love the warm fat tone, but never get around to it.
You can get some absolutely brutal tones out of my ESP in part due to the active pickups but I always strikes me as a bit cold sounding. Great guitar though.
I used to be the same way about tremolo bars when I was younger. Then I got a Jaguar.
Agree about the active pickups. Then again, like I said, I play a Jaguar and mostly offset guitars so they aren’t my thing.

Dude, it doesn’t matter if you have to learn from record or you get to watch videos showing you how to play it. “Eruption” is not an easy song to play and she nailed the technique and tone.
