2 new vids for those that haven’t come across them yet:
Absolutely horrible. I would say on a level with Al’s new material if not actually worse.
Edit: Definitely worse. That lo-fi video style was horrible and the singing sucked the whole thing was so numetal.
Where the fuck is the Pink Anvil record? That project was so much better than this new shit. ‘Halloween Party’ is one of my favorite records/
The video styles on those were so-so, but I liked the first one quite a bit. The music, however is quite nice. I’ve been loving the songs that have been posted on myspaceand fuzz and am eagerly anticipating the full album (not to mention the show in a couple weeks). May not be for everybody here, but I like it.
The music is good (although doesn’t really go anywhere) but…yeah, the ‘singing’ is awful - really laboured. I can’t believe they picked this guy. Even under a ton of distortion he would still sound terrible.
It’s a shame cos I was really rootin’ for Skinny to succeed. Maybe he still will, but not with this project. I find it hard to picture this band receiving much attention.
i dig the music quite a bit. i’m not sure how anyone could say it is worse than what ministry is doing now as it is a totally different style. i’ll take ussa’s style just because thrash hasn’t ever really been my thing and this has the ring of a few 90s bands i was into. but if you like the faster paced music better in general then you are gonna like ministry’s new stuff better than this. and i’m sorry but nothing can really be worse than ministry’s newer videos. anyhow as i said i dig this music and my only complaint could possibly be the singer. not that i think hes a bad singer, just that i think he needs to work on his own sound. he’s kinda all over the place. every other song i hear reminds me of a different bands singer. but i still like what i hear for the most part so i don’t really care. i’m really looking forward to them touring especially now that i hear they may actually hit ann arbor. and nobody ever plays here anymore.
The music sounds pretty much like Tomahawk, but I think I’d like it more if Mike Patton was singing.
and i’m sorry but nothing can really be worse than ministry’s newer videos.

is that a joke?
their myspace blog has a list of cities they are working on as of about a month ago:
“Also on the agenda, if not the immediate horizon:
Florida --Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando, Gainesville,
St. Louis, Cincinnati, Madison, Ann Arbor, Champaigne, Louisville, Des Moines, Fargo, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Vancouver, D.C., Richmond, Chapel Hill.”
So i am assuming that they will hit the Blind Pig which is perfect for me as i can stumble home afterwards.

what the hell is that?!

haha nice! you could not of said it any better, feel the same way. hes cool but yeh patton would own the crap out of him and would launch this band into underground stardom (…what?).
theyre cool, id like to see them live, got that one live show of theirs on mp3 and they sound a lot better than i thought they would. really hope Paul is working on releasing some solo or Lead Into Gold or Pink Anvil stuff though, that would be the cat’s pajamas.
Is there a date or venue for the Louisville show?
go see the live show. how many times have you seeen a band live and said WHAAAA? i won’t see them until LA.
you guys are way too used to seeing duane dennisen with mike patton in the same room.
see something different, and maybe everyone’ll complain. or not. i’m goin’, as a longtime fan of all the bands and projects of everyone involved. should be good, bad or ugly.
I’ll vouch for that. Will be seeing them live for the third time next week. They don’t disappoint. Give Gary a chance. He’ll grow on you.
id love to see them live. singer reminds me of the dude from cop shoot cop, but slightly less good. still rad stuff, anyone copping their album when it comes out?
