USSA tour with Chemlab

USSA featuring everyone’s hero Paul Barker will be opening for Chemlab in November/December here in the states. Straight from Jared Louche:

"After all of the false starts, unrequited hand jobs at knifepoint and other tragic-comic interludes with bands that couldn’t decide whether or not they still love the sweat of the stage and the bruise of the spine, we’re hitting the road.

There will be more details and ticket give-aways and other deals of that sort to be released exclusively here (because you’ve been so fucking patient), but I’m just touching base with everyone to let them know that we’re unpacking the jets, firing the engines and preparing to rocket launch the old beast back into your frontal lobe once more.

I’m pleased to announce that the travelling detonation show will look like this:

Main support comes from the bizarre and sinister USSA. USSA is the new band from ex-Ministry and Jesus Lizard/Tomahawks Paul Barker and Duane Dennison www.myspace.com/ussaband as well as http://ussa.fuzz.com. You may not have heard of them yet, but you will, and if you think you know what you’re getting into, take the shades off and prep for a bruising eye-black.

The other band on the bill is the junkyard freak-show that is SKELETON KEY www.myspace.com/skeletonkey and also www.skeletonkey.org. The Barker Of The Dupes is one of the strangest and most intellectually challenging bands I’ve ever had the pleasure of performing with and I’m looking forward to watching them torching the crowd every night.

There will be cool local bands, old Machine Rock cohorts and a few others travelling with us throughout the shows to lend an extra jolt to it all.

The dates are not concrete yet, but roughly run from the 14th of November until the 14th of December. I’ll get the actual routing posted here as soon as I know what it is, but roughly, we’ll be starting on the East Coast and heading into the Midwest, out West and along down the Coast. We swing back through NM, TX and the like, through NOLA and into FL and back up the East Coast.

We’re going to need as much help from you as possible. For us to be able to come back as a serious touring band again we need to make this tour rock, and much of that is in your digistream hands. We’ll have tour posters available here as well as other street team materials and I’m counting on you to spread the viral stain as only the bit-heads in the Blackout Tribe can.

There will be a lot of updates and details and other shit coming this way from now on. So, come and hang out, spread the word, remind the creatures that we’re still not dead and help get the band back on the road. Then come celebrate the riot with us!

About fucking time too!"

Should be cool. I saw Chemlab last year in S.F. Babyland opened. Fun times.

Holy shit…I’m so there!!!

We’ll be keeping up on USSA news on the news pages on here.

Also, a portal:

that’s cool. skelton key are cool, saw them live back in 02 or 03 I think it was, opening for Tomahawk. fun show. haven’t heard of chemlab though.

good. thanks.
someone PLEASE do a live show i can add to my top ten of all time.
i’m hoping here.
anyone want to give their own top ten?
haven’t been here long enough to see if you guys have already covered this.
live shows–YEAH.

ussa myspace…i think “middletown” has been recently added…i like the groove.

Duane is awesome and one of the most original guitar players around, and for him to be playing with paul makes it even cooler. like bisquit told me a while back Duane is all over (and quite vocal) on their myspace page. i’d like to write something - where are they recording in nashville - tell him i dig his guitar work - but without being “that guy”.

shit i would have loved to see those two little gigs that busiquit filmed for us.

i don’t really know much about chemlab other than the fact they’ve been around for a while.

Somehow Chemlab seems like an odd band to be with the other two.
with skeleton key on ipecac along with pink anvil and tomahawk i see why they and ussa are touring together. does anyone in the know know how a band like chemlab got thrown into the picture? and did all 3 bands just play rock/paper/scissors to see who’d “headline” since at this point in time all are pretty small?

the booking agents look up the routing and who’s up for touring. but of course, the personalities have to mix. wait and see on this proposed chemlab thing.

going to the brooklyn one. anyone around here going to that? i’d make it to the nyc one too but i work that night

I’m definitely in on the Nashville one. Anyone else here in town going?

I think I’m going to be out of town the weekend of the Atlanta show.
Nuts.

i’m gonna try to make the atlanta show.

It’s like Murderapolis is the pimple on the genital wart on the crotch of the universe for music. Either that, or Prince has some kind of gang that turns away any tour that could be good. [laugh]

Might have to try and hit Milwaukee, else miss this tour. Already missed Jesu earlier this year though.

I forgot to mention the price of this show in Brooklyn if anyone is going, and it’s probably the same as most of the other dates - $10 a pop. Not bad to see members of Tomahawk and Ministry putting some stuff down…

kinda reminds me of fugazzi philosophy.

kinda reminds me of fugazzi philosophy.

You know, I thought the same thing. The first two gigs were $5 for 3 bands and I snatched up a t-shirt for $5 as well.

Wonder if USSA will throw people out for smashing around, and hand em a refund as they throw em out the door

ringo_shells, you can’t be serious about anyone getting thrown out of a show here. ( ministry- revolting cocks- jesus lizard with mr. yow?)
these guys are professional agitators.the operative word is “professional”. felt the pain. appreciate the “rewards” of agitation.
