useless

i know this song has been brought up here before but did al write the lyrics run out of time and paul did the vox or did paul write the lyrics to that song (which would be juicier) it was talked about in an interview i’m just to lazy to look right now

p.s. i remember a paul thread awhile ago calling lead into gold…golden since i own all releases i gave them a whirl on thee old record player and snake oil (with giant at number 2) wouild be my pick for best song(s) my two cents

I’m pretty sure Paul wrote the majority of this song, including lyrics. I’d honestly rather “Paisley” had made the cut for the album, but I can understand why they chose “Useless” since so many of the songs are rather slow in tempo on ‘Filth Pig’.

???

Paisley is also slow in tempo.

Usless was an uglier song than Paisley…that is why it made the album.

'Paisley’s similarity to ‘Filth Pig’ would also favour the inclusion of ‘Useless’.

That’s my point. The album was so slow as it is. They probably picked “Useless” over “Paisley” because it was faster and would give the album more variation.

I mean they must have known that much of their fanbase would be alienated by the sudden drop in tempo when Ministry was known for faster pounding grooves.
