Sounds like Voids band

Sounds like Voids band

So it sounds like a Manson clone?

if you’re both refering to the band you hear in the video, that’s Cardinal Noire.

More generic covers by more generic bands.

I’m glad you’re seeing the positive side in all this [cool]

Sorry, but that’s about the 67th cover of “Just One Fix” I’ve heard. Did we really need another?

There’s a thread here where someone compiled a list of all the various covers over the years. Go find it and you’ll see what I mean.

The compilation won’t consist solely of covers of Just One Fix, don’t worry

I’m not gonna argue over whether or not we need more Ministry covers.

Some folks might be interested in this release, others might not.
I suspect you belong to the the latter group, which is fine, I’m not gonna shove it down your throat.

Not familiar with all of these, but I wouldn’t call Dead When I Found Her or Cardinal Noire generic by any means. DWIFH is one of my favorite current bands in the genre, and they’ve done some interesting covers as well. My guess is that his contribution will be the recently released cover of You Know What You Are.

Right, DWIFH is really good - and a nice guy as well. He also did a damn good cover of “Dead Lines” by SP.

WORM opened for Pigface last year. Might be good…

Correct, the DWIFH cover is indeed his version of “You Know What You Are”.

I heard part of the W.O.R.M. cover, its pretty fucking spectacular.

The Cardinal Noire cover might already have been done a zillion times, but really, their version of Just One Fix is really fucking worth it.

The release will be a free download, so you can pick and choose the tracks you like and ditch anything that’s not to your taste.

The same guy posted a Skinny Puppy tribute as well (for those of you who don’t do Facebook):

1002

Correct again  The Skinny Puppy tribute was the first Tribulations release.

Ministry will be the second and after that a Coil tribute is in the works.

All of these releases are for free and any band is free to join. The Ministry deadline has been closed a few days ago, but the Coil tribute is still open for submissions.

Doesn’t sound terrible.
At least it’s free.

I just don’t care to put forth much effort to getting covers by bands trying to sound like the band that they are covering. Just seems redundant and defeatist. Like going to watch some guy at the local comedy club do Eddie Murphy jokes. I prefer covers to be more of a new interpretation or re-invention of the same song. Unless I’m paying to see them in a bar, hahahhaah!!! Then just try to sound as much like the band I wish I was seeing.

But good for them.
They apparently ain’t looking to rip anyone off with it or anything. So I wish 'em all the best.
