During the time ICYDFLSU came out.

Wow, that brings back memories of the MTV I used to know!
Notice how Al is speaking eloquently rather than sounding like a drunk/stoned 16 year old metalhead?
And look, Ogre is rocking the flat-brimmed hat look years before it was cool!
Thanks for posting this.
Wow…they reported on Lard…that’s great!
OMG he’s actually talking civil and not slurring his words and ranting like a toothless hillbilly.
I miss those days.
And that must’ve been Martin on the right of the screen? Ministry didn’t have too many blonds in the band
Isn’t it amazing too that MTV actually covered some GOOD music in the 90’s? True they covered crappy popular music as well (though I would say that even a lot of the crap pop in the 90’s was much more tolerable than most of today’s pop), but at night you could sometimes catch some really good underground bands late at night on 120 minutes or even occasionally on Alternative Nation.

Yep that’s Martin. There is a different cut of that interview used as the 120 Minutes X-Ray on Ministry where Martin speaks briefly.
Here’s a different part of that same interview:

The tone of the report seems rather like veiled mockery to me.
BTW, did anybody actually deface their copy of ICYDFLSU by sending in the little advisory thing?
“ogre who ONCE played with skinny puppy”???
Looking at all these vids reminds me of a section in Chris’s book.
In which there was a period in time, where Al was showing-off his “new playthings”. so looking at it now, how very apt it was!
Never knew about Lard’s cover of “They’re Coming to Take Me Away”
Fucking AWESOME! Listening now. I love that song.
Need to get more into the side projects…

Paul Barker was a bleach blonde for a little while.[/reply]
His hair was so blond it was white in the Bad Blood vid. He looked like he belonged on some sci-fi tv show. Still looked bad ass though

I thought he looked kind of like a poodle with the bleach blonde hair.

???
Dude… Lard is the best stuff Ministry ever did.
There are times when I agree whole-heartedly with this. Blows me away that there are ministry fans who don’t appreciate the power of lard.
I have heard some Lard but Jello’s voice annoys me and there is never much electronics in the sound it’s too straight metal.
But I love the original song and the cover was pretty cool. More electronic than I was expecting and his zany vocals really work for that stuff.
It was awfully repetitive but still very cool.
I will check out more.
I can’t stand Jello’s voice either, sounds like a clown.
I’m convinced Jourgensen was kidnapped by aliens and a dumbed-down clone took his place.
Here’s another version of the interview that surfaced

awesome! good to finally see the whole interview
thanks!
“I think he’d be a housewife if he wasn’t a drummer”
