Uncle Al should stick around for 1 more Fix

I read the thread about when Ministry should have packed it in and I must say that was a ludicrous suggestion. In my opinion, Jourgensen should keep going because TLS is fucking brilliant and why stop when the shite is just getting better and better!

However, he must be tired and after this next tour he will look like the walking dead, I’m sure, because Uncle Al works hard and plays even harder!

All I ask besides Ministry doing a Covers LP (by the way, Roadhouse Blues is fucking genius shredding ripping masterpiece cover song–best ever) is that Al & the gang do a make-over LP of all the gothy nuwave classics from 1981 to 1986.

Cmon, I know all you fanatic Ministry fans wanna hear Revenge, Effigy, Cold Life, All Day, Nature of Love, Same Old Madness, Everyday is Halloween, I Wanted to Tell Her, Over the Shoulder, The Angel, Work for Love, Overkill, Move, America, He’s Angry, I’m Falling (did I leave any out?) redone and torqued up with the Industrial Angst of hardcore postpunk metalized MINISTRY!!!

This is a moral imperative, Uncle Al…please do this as your swan song and as a personal favor to me for spending a shitload of money on your albums and swag over the years…I beg of you, my estranged Uncle Al…

Whats going on here, positive Ministry threads?? [:P]

I agree somewhat, recent albums are growing on me, lots of fave tracks going from 81-07.
Dunno if I would want to see old tracks re-done however. Have you heard the tribute albums? They may satisfy your urges for updated old Ministry.
I’m sad that Ministry is coming to a close, I hope warner does empty out a storage cupboard and find outtakes, or Al released some himself, he has hinted that they are out there.

thanks but no thanks, that Roadhouse Blues shit is enough.

Here’s what deanwavo thought of Ministry two years ago, when he was making lots of friends at Piss Army:

“Reznor is enjoying money and success in the mainstream while Jourgensen gets drunk, old and stupid wallowing in the underground metal scene. Poor bastard, he used to be an innovator back in his Wax Trax days now he’s just another cliche’ and wrinkled dirtbag!”

“I spoke the truth and I guess it bothers you that the once cutting edge Jourgensen is all but a “has been” today while his old friend Trent is tearing it up ultra-supreme style cranking thru the airwaves and video waves!”

“Give it up, dude and face facts…you got a hard on for a guy who used to be awesome but he sounds like a cheap cliche’ more and more on each album since Psalm 69 (maybe with the exception of Filth Pig & some of Animositisomina). Jourgensen’s efforts sound tired and stale.”

“I recently heard the remixed tracks on Rantology and sadly enough it proves my theory correct even more so. Like the once great horror director G. Romero, Al Jougensen should quit while he’s ahead.”

“He leaves a great mark in music history with the body of work from his Wax Trax days up until Psalm 69(even With Sympathy has classic appeal). The rest is perceived as inane crap and will go down in history as dogshit.”
