sort of a shame… growing up on long island, that was such an amazing radio station back in the day… then, like almost every other station out there, it got bought out and turned to crap. take a peek at the other pics on that link!
also, for the longest time, there were some audio snippets of an interview or radio promo that al did for that station either hosted on this site or another one… can’t seem to track them down though…

awesome shirt, awesome lp.
I like this Al best.
A clean cut fancy lad who owned a posh Frank Loyd Wright styled apartment and made all the girlies hardcore crazy. Pure sophistication, G.
He has a nice rugged square jaw that I envy.
Back when he always wore shades too. Never wears shades anymore.
I wish his two personas would separate like in Superman 3 were Clark Kent divides from Superman and they beat the shit out of each other in that junkyard. I actually think this version of Al would kick the crap outta the satanic biker with cookie monster vox who bathes in motoroil.
This Al looks scrappier. Leaner and meaner.
Ha - look at the haircut on that chick! Looks like Linda Hamilton from the Terminator circa 1984.
Good ol days!
This was pretty fucking’ funny!
for all the shit you talk I think this was your most honest post ever and certainly the funniest…but this is just the hippy talking.

there were a few pics of al in 86-87 and his arms were tatooed, yep
No! No! No, G. I’m for serious.
If I was gay - I’d do Al.
I bet he used to wear lotsa swank ass cologne back then to - since his old man used to own some high falutin dept stores.
That brutha was a-stylin and profilin’!
Say - does anybody know if he had all those evil looking tattos during this ghey phase - or did that come later? Btw a years subscription of Esquire to the first chap who can name the exact year Al got his 1st rad tattoo!
Man - I saw all those tattoos from that Download Fest film roll that girl took - ye gods! Like the Sistine chaple or …Max Cady from the Cape Fear remake…I didn’t realize he had the whole scales of justice thing on the back of his er…back.
Al - less is more buddy!
I know you are serious that is what made it funny. remember I wrote “honest”. Finally something out of you that wasn’t sarctastically rude and aimed at a member of the board in order to be-little somebody.

I think that if anything from the Twitch era surfaces, it’s like a rare pearl. I highly doubt people would go crazy over the surfacing of something from the “Just One Fix” era.
Twitch is my favorite album, but I have to admit that the “twitched” version of “The Angel” (or short version) is exctacy when you pump up the bass. And BISQUITODOOM: Are those baby noises in “The Angel” Adrienne in the background???
Wish I knew what happened to Al between 1986 and 1987…
It’s possible that baby was Adrienne. She was born around 1985 or 1986, if I remember right.
Hmm, could it be related to fatherhood that Al changed so dramatically between 1986 and 1987?
And I still want to know if those baby noises are Adrienne in the background in the song “The Angel”.

Check out the review of the 5/2/86 Boston show from the MIT paper I just added to it’s page in the tour section. It even mentions a song called “Go”, which could be an unreleased song, could be Do You Even Like It (though I thought it had been retired on the previous tour), or I guess could be some other song he misinterpreted.
My guess is he’s actually referring to The Nature Of Love. He probably didn’t know the name of the song, heard the Tones sample, and assumed that was it.
Scratch that…
ACTUALLY
If you listen to the 4-10-86 show, Al yells “Go!” right at the end of Isle of Man, leading into Where You At Now?, which would explain the description, “frenzied, rocket-speed beat”. This is assuming that he yells “Go!” at this point during every show they played (very possible).
I bet the set list is the same as 4-10-86, since he thinks they played the same set at The Channel a month previous, which was four days prior to the RPM gig.

I believe you’re totally correct on that.
BTW, in that radio studio picture above, also notice that the girl and the guy next to her both have Ministry “Stickmen” t-shirts from the Twitch era. I spotted that right away since I’ve got one as well. Great shirts, all of them.

Thankfully I quoted him since Peligro tried to remove all traces of him. The Superman Post is #4
Wow.
Wow.
Tell me that isn’t the snobbish writing of our friend Peligro.
Haha!!! So now Grumpy and Peligrolseluxwad are in a frenzied race to find and save or delete various pieces of incriminating evidence. This is awesome.
JIZZ-GATE is gonna be the Prongs scandal of the century.
No frenzy. he did this years ago
Tell me that isn’t the snobbish writing of our friend Peligro.
The ever-so-subtle hint at gayness? A hint of Olson coming through?

That’s all I’m saying.
