This one’s for the Pop music lovers here. Twin Shadow has just released his 2nd album “Confess” and it’s actually pretty damn good. If I were to say what it sounds like I’d say… “imagine if Prince, Morrissey, NIN and TV On The Radio made a record together”.
The stand out song (there are quite a few) from the new album is 5 Seconds which is the lead single. Below is the video for 5 Seconds. The first 1:30 is a spoken word intro which is not on the album version of the tune…not sure why it’s on the video. If I were to say what the video is about I’d say…“two hipster homosexual bikers beat the living crap out of a bunch of masked goons”.
the first track was played for me in my local record shop. the lady there really liked it.
it def. has hit status. I’m not sure if that’s the youtube link you posted, I’ll listen later. but there was one part where the drums reminded me of mid 80’s Ministry, maybe twitch era. thought it was pretty cool.
Twin takes a few spins rev…Light Asylum are good stuff…the vocals are great. If you’re in the USA try catch Matthew Dear’s upcoming tour for his new album Beams…Light Asylum are supporting the shows. Matthew Dear is friggin great and the new album is fantastic stuff.
