The news about Kenya had not been broadcast in the mainstream when I wrote that last post, so it didn’t eclipse the death of Butto whereas Will Smith did. But when they did broadcast the news about Kenya, the Headline was “Holidays in Kenya cancelled”. Funny that the main problem seen was the fact that british people could no longer go on vacation there. Never mind the dead people eh? So yeah, these last few days the fact that it’s not possible to travel to Kenya is more important than most items in the news.
Bush bashing in all styles and forms should continue until Bush is no longer president. Whether or not it makes a difference to him, people should never stop talking about it because that’s when you may as well drink yourself to death.
I wonder exactly what you’re reading / watching when you want to catch up on current events.
I’ve seen no 20 minute stories on Will Smith on the news but have with Butto, covering not only her death but her life and family too.
The aftermath is still being covered extensively.
There was also days of coverage about the deaths in Kenya. The main news about people being told not to travel there came after. I remember watching a rather lengthy piece on ITV News about it and the main point was the damage to Kenya’s economy the lack of holiday makers could bring about cos the tourist industry makes up a huge percentage of Kenya’s income. THAT is the problem, not “the fact that british people could no longer go on vacation there”.
These things are hardly just mentioned “briefly”. Saying that they are is a complete falsehood.
I agree that Bush bashing needs to continue but suggesting that the reason why is because reported news is inadequate / concentrates on trivial matters and people are better off listening to a few shitty punk albums to get a foothold into political debate ain’t right cos it simply isn’t true.

As i can see you’re in the UK, maybe it’s different there. Cuz in Detriot, I saw about 4 mins of coverage on our nightly. then it was ‘piss off til the 11:30’ Nightline or CNN coverage.
(i am very upset and angry about Bhutto’s assassination though I’m still Musharraf all the way).
Why on earth are you for Musharraf all the way? You obviously don’t live in Pakistan i take it? It DEFINATELY should have been Musharraf who got taken out. But as usual the little demons run amok.

No argue: every day without Bush would be a benefit.
But I must disagree with you, because it would use the same “war on terror” media tactics that are going to make mindless zombies out of people.
It’s is not a good way to tell the same story over and over again until they believe even in lies (remember WOM in Iraq?).
But I’d prefer being knocked on the head to start thinking than told the same stuff for years…

It’s very different by my understanding.
I’ve know of people from the US saying they prefer British news cos it’s more thorough and un-bias.

I see what you’re saying.
I myself think the thematic trilogy is interesting. I like continuation in art, big fan of concept albums and stuff like that.
I got no problem with Bush being bashed to such an extent. He’s such a Nobnut, it’s needed IMO.
Changing the lyrics to festive poems is a little to close to what Cliff Richard did a few years ago for my liking though. Gotta be a joke on Al’s part.
But yeah I can understand people getting bored of it.
Maybe by trying to get people into politics in such a way, Al’s actually turning as many people off to it as on?

Indeed, but I guess almost everybody who likes Ministry music already knows this.

Speaking for myself: definitely.
I mean, it’s clear that Bush is just a puppet on strings (Metallica!!!) pulled by others in the background.
His IQ is just too low, even for the current and last US politics he signs responsible for.
So why bashing a puppet again and again? Has no real effect IMHO.
