TV 3

I know most old skoolers know this, but i figured a few new folk may not. That TV3 If you follow the samples details the drug bust from it begging with people fucking and the cop’s bust in…etc.I want to know since it was made after,i guess, did Mikey play on it?Hmmm

I think most of the samples are from Fort Apache: The Bronx, good track.

No he’s asking if it was recorded and/or written before or after Scaccia and Al’s busts. My guess would be it was after, since the bust was in Aug 95 and the single was put out during Xmas 95.

It was also only credited as written by Al and Paul for royalty purposes. It’s probably Al on guitar.

It would be ironic to have Mike play guitar on a track that essentially got him let go, much like how Max Brody originally hated TV 2 and it was WTV (TV 3) that was the last song he did before he was fired.

I’m confused…is “WTV” in fact “TV 3”?

No, “TV 3” appeared on The Fall CD single. Technically, “WTV” should be TV 4.

Ok yeah that’s what I thought…so where was the original TV Song from? TV 2 is the one on ‘Psalm 69’, then 3 is on ‘The Fall’ single, 4 is “WTV” and 5 is this “Mikey’s Middle Finger” crap…

The original “TV Song” was on the Jesus Built My Hotrod CD single.

Alright thanks, I can’t find it anywhere though, when I search “TV Song” on YouTube I get “TV II”. Is it different from “TV II” in any way?

Yeah, it’s quite different. More organic, live sounding. Don’t think Al even used any fx on his vocals.

Listening to all the TV songs now. I think of the 5, “TV II” and “WTV” are definitely the best. “Side FX Include Mikey’s Fist (TV4)” actually isn’t half bad at all except for Al screaming “YIII FEEL LIKE SHIIIT”…and it goes on too long…

Ok cool thanks. Can anyone provide a link to stream or PM a download? I can’t seem to find it due to the general confusion surrounding the TV song series.

pm msg sent

ok I finally heard “TV.Song” (thanks gila) and I have to say I think it’s the best of all the TV tracks. Very awesome.

Nothing better than finding out about an old track that you never heard before. I never bothered with the Jesus Built My Hot Rod single because I had the Ministry Box set which had the JBMHR remixes so I had no idea TV 1 existed, just thought they were fartin’ around calling TV 2. It is a cool track, I like the clean vocals and what I’m assuming are live drums. TV 3 is still my favorite of the series but I haven’t heard the new one yet.

Is the original TV Somg the only Ministry track that doesn’t include Al in e writing credits?

I never understood why it wasn’t included on the Box collection. It still bugs me to this day.

well, at least it got a release somewhere. unlike fukkin’ extended versions of “nursing home” and “step” in cd quality god dammit!!

The guitar in TVIII is great…gangster funk.

the best part of “TV song” is the organic quality and the Black Sabbath chords around 2:30 are priceless…

Ha! just re-read my original post foe this Hmmmm. What i was trying to say is though TV3 hasno vox,If you follow the samples like a story it details the drug bust with the people fucking (Al) then the cops bust in,try and get him to rat etc.etc. it’s something i would have never know had it not appeared in an interview.Yeah something i thought was weird anytime they play tv song from taht era it’s CC on vox, i can tell he wrote the lyrics, but is he anywhere on the recording itself or is that all Al vox.

P.S. think of how cool FILTH PIG WOULD HAVE BEEN IF TV3 would have appeared in the tracklisting maybe after useless if they reissue it def should be on
