Trippest Albums Ever

Animal Collective (or wait does this need to be a dark/scary trip since we are all so goth on the Ministry board?)

Indeed the darker the better [;)]

Can’t believe no one has mentioned Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon!

Others that come to mind:

Tear Garden: The Last Man to Fly
Beatles: The White Album
Radiohead: Kid A, OK Computer
Legendary Pink Dots: any of several albums
Mike Patton projects, especially Mr. Bungle (Disco Volante and California in particular and also Fantomas’s Delerium Tremolos and the following release

Those are more of the “chill” trippy albums, if you want to freak out listen to Skinny Puppy’s Last Rights or some of the darker Throbbing Gristle or some of the noise material that Peligro is into.

Funny.

Nobody mentioned Butthole Surfers’ Locust Abortion Technician.

IT WAS THE FIRST POST PELIGRO, OMG LULZ YOU BIG THILLY GOOTHE.

I really liked voidhead’s list. I could imagine you and Peligro catching up at a cafe for absinthe shots and macchiato’s to sharpen your senses shortly thereafter late in the afternoon while discussing life, love and all things music and getting along better than you both expected.

Completely and utterly naked while voidhead eats a lump of his own poo.

Another chance prongs encounter

Gong - “Flying Teapot - The Radio Gnome Trilogy Pt 1”
Tangerine Dream - “Rubycon”
Soft Machine - “Soft Machine”

and lastly, possibly one of the finest albums in my collection…one I’ve been listening to since I was in the 8th grade…

Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention - “We’re Only In It for the Money”

Better than expected? I have no ill will toward voidhead whatsoever.

In fact, I wish he’d post more often.

If ever he tours (yeah…well, it might happen) Australia with his …um…band, he is more than welcome to crash at my house.

Just as long as he wears pants in front of my family and refrains from freebasing cocaine in the bathroom.

He’s into a lot of cool music, or so it would seem.

I do have a band now. It is 4 of us. Baba bin Yaga. Taking things to a new level. That’s why I don’t post much of late but I lurk. At the day job it was easy to promo/hype stuff all day but hard to actually do a lot with my time.

Now I am doing the opposite and you will see the results.

I am going to masturbate in my guitarist/producer’s shower now.

And yeah I think Peligro we like a lot of the same music and we would get along just fine!

Ministry- DSOTS
Skinny Puppy- Too Dark Park
Godflesh- Streetcleaner (minus the Tiny Tears trax)
Mayhem- Grand Declaration Of War
Black Sabbath- Sabotage
Ulver- Metamorphosis
Ulver- Perdition City
Ulver- Teachings In Silence
Ulver- Blood Inside

That’s all I can think of for now. Btw all the Ulver albums are in chronological order.

You really know how to sell yaself as a potential guest at Peligro’s!
