HAHAHAHAHA! I remember finding some clip of Luc standing in a pub singing some Cocks song mashed up with Depeche Mode. It was pretty funny and embarrassing (and yet still better than anything Al’s done for a while).
Is there a difference between Revco World and Revco Sound System?

Did you read the article? Richard 23 is in RevCo World, whereas RevCo Sound System was just Luc. Presumably it’s more of a “band” and less of Luc doing karaoke.
Also, IIRC Luc was doing Sound System project with Al’s blessing. Presumably that carries over to RevCo World.
No, sorry. I didn’t read the article. But thanks. So there’s actually TWO Revolting Cocks “tributes” and BOTH OF THEM have more original Cock than the Revolting Cocks currently have.

Richard 23 was mentioned only as a founding member of Revolting Cocks. He is not a member of RevCo world.
RevCo World is: Luc van Acker (guitarist/vocalist, founding Cock) David Vandenborn (keybordist, also has a solo project: http://www.myspace.com/dvdborn) Antoni Foscez (drummer affiliated with many bands including Fungus, Statue, Buksus, Ars Vivendi, Seven Sapien, Piñatahéd, Bourbon Break) Philippe Everaert (bassist, I don’t know if he is in anything else) DJ Wildhoney (percussion/backing vox)
Yeah, well when it finally does drop (put down the bong Justin there’s work to be done) every man and his donkey will be talking about it so you can’t half blame me for being excited. I mean it’s what, five or six years between drinks.
Every time I read a recent Tool interview there is a completely different explanation as to where they are currently at with the new album. I will read one interview and will get the impression that recording is only a matter of weeks away and then a month later read another interview and will get the impression that the songwriting process is only just beginning and that a recording date is nowhere near. Very annoying when you are virtually counting down the days til this thing finally comes out.
Earth - Angels Of Darkness, Demons Of Light
I was just boning up over this in an email to Evil D. A new Earth album is always good news.
Oh yes. A new Earth album will definitely fill the void in the wait for the new Tool.
Aphex Twin - tba
Well, he says there’s at least one new album in the new year. Supposedly he’s sitting on three that are ready to be released. But saying it and showing it are two different things.
I’m beginning to think this is all a big piss take. There is no new album.
i forgot about that…it’s been delayed for awhile. i wonder what it will sound like. hopefully not another mythmaker :P.[/reply]
Every now and then I remember it. Yeah, I didn’t like Mythmaker either. But, it’s supposed to be in a more 8-bit direction, I think. Could be wrong, or it could have changed. Last I heard they were updating it. And I saw something about possible new ohgr in 2011.
Put me down in the minority then for preferring SP’s last two albums over their older material.
I think if they came up with something that was a mix of the two styles it’d be fantastic. Ohgr’s last release was more Skinny Puppy sounding than the last two Skinny Puppy records, so it could happen…

GWOTR was fuckin’ DOPE.
Mythmaker… Not so much.[/reply]
GWOTR - Average to OK
Mythmaker - Not so much.
They have a few goodies in there somewhere though. Empte, Ugli, etc. Only two coming to mind at the moment. The second half of Mythmaker ain’t too shabby, more experimental than the poppy/boring first half. GWOTR sounds like ohgr leftovers. Same for the first half of Mythmaker.
