Good start (especially Tool and Rob Zombie). Let me also add . . .
Pantera
Radiohead
Sunn O)))
Frank Zappa
Die Antwoord
Yeah, that’s right! I put Frank Zappa on the list. He sucks. Deal with it.
Also, LENNY BRUCE! Everyone kisses his ass, but virtually none of the people that say Lenny Bruce is great have ever actually even listened to him. He’s just not funny. He’s BBBOOOOORRRRRRIIIIIINNNNGGG!!!
I love Frank Zappa but agree with all others on this list…
Green Day
Slipknot
Metallica
REM
Offspring
Elton John
Dave Matthews band
Oasis
U2
Linkin Park
Most of the above ones are quite good. Especially:
Radiohead
Coldplay
U2
But you forgot:
Rolling Stones
Nickelback
Phish
Oh shit yeah how could I forget Radiohead & Green Day!
Slipknot
Slipknot is the biggest pile of crap.
I had the misfortune of seeing them live at Ozzfest 2005. What a muddled ass trainwreck of Hot Topic faggitry that was. 15 asshats running around on stage climbing on stairs and banging on trashcans. Maybe one or two clowns playing a 12 string guitar and dry humping each other.
It was horrendous. Why anyone likes them is a total mystery to me.
Muse!!!
Flaming Lips
Greatful Dead
Daft Punk
Eminem
Yes. FLAMING LIPS for sure!
Chemical Brothers
Snoop Dog
Oasis
Beck!
Chemical Brothers
Snoop Dog
Oasis
Yeah,I had already listed Oasis…cuz even though they aren’t big now it’s easy to forget that ppl thought they were the Second Coming at the peak of their popularity…mazing what recycled Beatle riffs can do for a band…

^This. I saw them at Ozzfest in 2001. Linkin Park was also there, which I slept through most of. With the exception of Black Sabbath and Marilyn Manson, the rest of the lineup was a complete bore fest.
A lot of my friends really like Mushroom Head, which I know Slipknot sort of ripped them off. I just can’t stomach the bipolar elements in most of their songs. It sounds Faith No More-ish one second, then Slipknot the next. It’s annoying. Linkin Park has the same issue, it sounds good until someone starts rapping.
A lot of the bands listed are ok, but they certainly aren’t as good as everyone makes them out to be.
megadeath (and any other 80’s hair metal band ex motley crue, van halen, ozzy)
