So I scored a Nintendo Wii & a Blu-Ray player yesterday. Haven’t really had a chance to use them yet. Anyone here have them??? If so what do you think of them???
Wii’s awesome! Wii Sports and WiiFit are my favorites. Big Brain Academy rules as well.
Blu-Ray comes integrated with the PS3. So I got that.
Plus with MGS4 and the new Gran Turismo being PS3 exclusives, it was a done deal.
I have played the Wii at some friend’s houses, and it’s pretty (drunken) fun. The new NHL game looks pretty sweet.
Blu-Rays kick ass too.
You will not be disappointed! THe Wii is great fun sober bowling or drunk bowling on Wii sports is great fun
I also got the PS3 for the Blu ray and seeing as how is was about as cheap for the PS3 as it was for a low end straight bluray player I got the PS3 and included the ability to play games if I so choose!
TO really see the full power of Bluray I sugggest Cartoons (the Simpsons, Cars, etc) on an LCD TV Holy shit it’s soo killer!

Wii kicks ass, Splurge on Mario Strikers: Charged if you can. That game rocks the house.
And yes, bowling is fun as hell when you’re tipsy.

I’ve just bought Star Wars Saga Lego online and am wanting to score Mario/Sonic Olympics & Mario Galaxy. What’s that other Mario game you were talking about???
As for the Blu-Ray…I haven’t watched a Blu-Ray yet although I do have Evil Dead 2 Blu-Ray disc on the way! I’m gagging for Wall-E on Blu-Ray! Good Tymez!!!
Gamecube FTW! Still very hard to score a wii on my end, but actually passed on one last week…stupid! In the meantime, I scored mega man 9 on PS3, and resident evil 1 (the remake) and 0 on GC, so i’ll survive until hell freezes over…freezing over meaning the day i’ll actually own a wii.

I have this. Looks pretty crisp Although, not as nice as other flicks but still for it being 25 years old it’s a pretty decent picture! Rest Assured WallE will hit bluray as soon as it is released

Mario Strikers: Charged is the best and most insanely demented soccer game I’ve ever played, and I hate soccer.

Wall-E on Blu-Ray should be DOPE. You could probably see each individual polygon with that nonsense…
Mario Galaxy has some of the coolest game physics/mechanics I’ve ever seen. We’ve played through it a couple of times now, and you won’t be disappointed in that one. Wii Play, and Wii Sports is where its at, hours of fun those are. My favorite though is Resident Evil 4, holy shit!!! I had kind of given up on this genre, but this game is hands down one of the best gaming experiences I’ve ever had. Lots of replay value too even after you beat it.

Fo Shizzle!!! forgot about resident evil!!! Umbrella Chronicals it’s a shooter on wheels but it’s kick ass! before we were waiting for house of the dead to come out so we were playing res evil UC to tide us over and then house of… came out and just sucked ass comparitively!! house of the dead is good for nostalgia a few times but if you want game play & kick ass graphics go for resident evil UC!! also forget the “nintendo” wii guns and get the “perfect shot” guns. by far the best gun wii accessories!!

Thanks for the recommendation grmpy, that Umbrella Chronicles sounds great. Anyone who loves the Resident Evil games needs to go to youtube and check out the trailer for RE 5. Jaw dropping is an understatement.
