Tony Soprano rip

James Gandolfini died today…sad news…it was a heart attack which is not at all shocking…51 yrs old…

Wow, no way! An excellent actor, i think True Romance was the first thing i saw him in, he made an impression in that role. RIP, very sad news.

Ahhh, what a shame. I loved that crazy wop bastard. Sorry to hear he dropped.

Been a long time since I’ve seen “True Romance” – what was his role in that?

He was the hit man…he had the bloody motel room brawl with Patricia Arquette…dude was a bad ass actor…

Yeah, he brought some likeability even to the part of a woman-beating psychopath in that film, if such a thing is possible. His little look to the ceiling after he knocks Patricia Arquette out is such a weird touch, a kind of “Oops, what’re ya gonna do” thing. The last thing i saw him in was Killing Them Softly, but i hated the film and it was the first thing i disliked him in. Not because of his acting, quite the opposite, he played a sleazy, obnoxious, vulgar character so well that it was not at all enjoyable.

Very sad news, he was a fantastic actor and brought a lot even to small roles.

I was curious about that film…never got around to checking it out…

No fucking way…

I’ve been on a Sopranos marathon. What a goddamn shame. Fuck.

It’s worth a look if you have the patience for it, maybe, i don’t think i was in the mood for a slow-paced film at the time i watched it, and some of the characters are absolutely unlikeable. I found it pretty depressing and grubby, but i’ve also seen great reviews so maybe it was me not really getting the film rather than the film not being good.

It got some mixed reviews…I saw the director’s other films which were both a bit underwhelming…the Jesse James thing and Chopper…

Total bummer!

At least he got to sample some tight Jewish ass before he went

He’s great as a Lt. General in In The Loop, Armando Iannucci’s spinoff film of the British series The Thick Of It (awesome show).
