You know what pisses me off… not sure if it’s the same thing in the US, but when you order a ticket and you have it mailed to you, it’s like 6$. And if you order an E-ticket its 7.50$
7.50 for what? to send me an email with a pdf file?
I got my KJ ticket for 20 quid which is about US$40!!!
I’m lucky though as I just buy direct from a cool record store here in Edinburgh that does all the tickets for gigs in Scotland.
Regardless I’d pay 50 quid (US$100) to see the original line-up of KJ any day…i’m off to see them in a few hrs and will post a review as well as photos of the merch I score…i’m not taking the camera to the gig though as I can’t be bothered carrying it around everywhere.
Ticketmaster in the US seem very evil. Ticketmaster here is the same price as www.rippingrecords.com
The building facility charge doesn’t go to ticketmaster so that ones not their fault but the rest is. they charge you nothing in the US if you just want your tickets sent via regular mail. but they charge about $2 to email you the tickets or to pick them up at a local outlet. doesn’t make much sense to me. you can also choose to do standard mail for free, and then call them and ask a rep to email you the tickets if you really want to save a couple bucks.
afra and i were looking at alternate choices yesterday and i noticed that other companies are really no better (tickets.com, ticketweb etc). thankfully most of the shows i go to around detroit are at places that still sell them for face at the box office/door.
maggit - he’s bitching that ticketmaster is taking $101 for $69 worth of tickets.
Another bullcrap thing about those fees is that if the show is canceled, for some reason, the fees are NOT refunded, just the ticket price. That happened to me once.
i buy tix for a lot of playoff sporting events and generally with those if the game isn’t played (game 7 of last years stanley cup for 1 example) i got everything back except for the “order processing charge” and any shipping fees. so it wasn’t too bad. i do seem to get the bulk of the service charges back which actually surprised me. but it could be different for shows that get canceled as my event was just an “if necessary” event.

Bastards… At least you get to see KJ!
in the good old USA you can get it sent regular mail to you in your standard envelope for no charge
As far as a precessing fee… i suppose the goes along the lines of the computer or ticketmaser person having to process the idea that indeed there is a person who wants 3 tickets to a killing joke show.
