wow saw thrill kill last night if there anywhere near your town go check them out was one of the best shows they’ve had in years (it was one of there rockier shows as opposed to there electro set’s) very fun though

Well apparently the show in Kansas City was canceled last night due to the band suddenly breaking up. If this is true then its pretty terrible I was looking forward to seeing them this time around with Justin on drums. I haven’t caught a TKK show since Sexplosion, and am kicking myself for not seeing the Animositisomina tour either. I hope this is not the case.
Fuuuuuuuck. That’s weird that they’re evidently breaking up 5 days into a tour. I guess I want to believe it’s not true, but I’m seeing signs pointing towards yes. I suppose the real shame is that most people probably haven’t even noticed that they’ve still been putting out albums at a regular pace.

Whew… Justin just posted over on the Litany board and confirmed that the band HAS NOT broken up. It was more a case of overzealous promoters making shit up. Crisis averted, hope Frankie feels better soon.

Hey all… I only have a few moments at this truck stop to chime in so I’ll try to clarify as much as I can…
Not sure where the “break-up” rumor started, but it’s not true… the front-man Franke (Groovie Mann) came down with strep throat and after trudging through a few shows regardless was finally forced to take a break after the gig in Tulsa OK. We are desperately waiting to find out how soon he will be allowed to take the stage again… we have our fingers crossed that we will pick up the rest of the tour starting with the Denver gig, and hopefully we can then pick up the cancelled shows (re-booked) at the end of the current run. I’ll chime in again with more info as soon as I have it… in the meantime I’m in the middle of the desert with my fingers crossed!

Fuck, from what I have heard of the new album I kinda wish they had broken up… I really haven’t liked anything they’d done since “crime for all seasons” yet I’ve kept hoping they would get their shit together… new shit just sounds kinda weak to me.
yeah i know franke was not at the after party and one of the girls with them the swedish one had hurt herself aswell one of the things that made it so great was that theyhad no barricade which made the show feel so much more personal and yes they had live gtr. (there guy doubled as bass/gtr. and add.keys)and an electro live drm kit which made it feel like a live show as opposed to karioke [;)] good times it was packed also which surprised me as i thought the scene haddiedapparently cos’ of a local dj night the ‘scene’ is bigger than ever

Yeah, I was there. It was much better than last time, definitely felt like a real band like you said. I didn’t go to any afterparty. I had to be up for work at 6 the next morning, so I barely stayed til the end of the show and didn’t do any drinking.
EDIT: Wow, I just noticed that Combichrist and Slick Idiot are going to be stopping by this summer. Very nice!
