I was there for that Big Day Out show in 1995.

Brilliant performance by Ministry. Unforgettable. Only slightly less overwhelming than the recent Tool gig I went to. I will never forget the live version of Scarecrow with Al on harmonica.

Ministry headlined the festival. Approximately 20,000 people witnessed Ministry’s show at the end of the day - with maybe 500 people down the front who were “into it” and approximately 19,500 others in the arena standing there in absolute silence going “who the fuck are these weirdos??”.

A bit of trivia - Kylie Minogue and Michael Hutchence (INXS)were standing a few feet in front of me - down near the stage - and were totally getting into it. Ditto Bobby Gillespie (Primal Scream).
