I honestly found some of this really interesting…

anyone care to share their own tales?

I honestly have nothing which qualifies as ‘fucked up’. Really. [:(]

I have a few I could tell…

The one on that site that really struck me hard was…

I once bought a pizza with peperoni, but there wasn’t any peperonis on it. Fuck that day has haunted me

“I’ve… seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time… like… tears in rain…”

I saw a dead body on an inclined road so fresh that the police had just arrived and hadn’t covered his body. Blood was running down the hill into a storm drain. Found out later the guy was a gang member and had his brains blown out and pushed out of a moving car.

In 1986 I saw Paul “Mr Wonderful” Orndorff betray and piledrive Hulk Hogan on tv…it was awful.

Oh and I also saw 9/11 on tv too.

In 1986 I saw Paul “Mr Wonderful” Orndorff betray and piledrive Hulk Hogan on tv…it was awful.

You think that was bad, what about this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIvhCqKQBU0

I remember being traumatised by that video (which I only saw about 2 years after it actually happened) as I was 6 year old “hulkamaniac” (who only knew HH through an odd magazine of poster. I had a pretty frugal childhood, all the better for it) who took it all very seriously. It was all very absurd but fond memories nonetheless. Earthquake (John Tenta) has since perished and Miss Elizabeth (Elizabeth Hullette) died of an accidental o.d. a few years ago too.

I’ve witnessed some bad things (violence, drug abuse, etc.) but nothing inordinately fucked up or that fucked me up… I think. [:/]

Holy shit, Miss Elizabeth, dead? Jesus christ… for some reason, that came as a real surprise.

I saw Paul Orndorff when he came to Australia… would’ve been 10 years ago now… he’d aged, but he was still pretty fit. I watched in horror as he piledrived Dennis Rodman…

that was the scariest shit I ever saw.

In all honesty… the only ‘fucked up’ thing I ever saw was my neighbour’s dead body getting wheeled out from her house… under a blue blanket, covered in blood after her husband had stabbed her to death.

She was 88 I think… or even 90, and her husband was 86. They used to babysit me and my sister, and she was a real battleaxe. Seriously, if it wasn’t him that was going to do it, someone else would have. She was the absolute pits and just one of those people that seemed to enjoy making life hell for those around her.

He, on the other hand, was a genuinely nice bloke. Pretty timid, actually… then SNAP. I’m not sure if he’s alive now, but last time I heard he was actually having a ball in minimum security prison as Victoria’s oldest convicted murderer.

When I was about five, a guy in the apartment next to me went fuckin’ nuts and cut his daughter out of his girlfriend and dressed it up in baby clothes. I saw him being hauled away by the cops covered in what could only be blood.

Never really struck me as fucked up until I witnessed a “relative” of mine snuff it from chemo, and everything I’d ever seen, done, and thought that was wrong all hit me like a runaway train.

LOL @ pepperoniless pizza.

[laugh]

as soon as i arrived in SF i was standing next to a building, the buses there run through the power lines like bumper cars, i heard what i thought was a bus but turned out to be a kid bouncing around in the power lines he landed 10 feet , at mosta away from me. he landed on a car first then the pavement and i heard his neck break. when the cops arrived and i told them the story all they said was “welcome to san fransico”. turns out he was only seventeen and his mom thought he just fell from there apartment window i did’nt have the heart to tell her he jumped

on a lighter note the bel-air stories in that forum cracked me up

  • A childhood classmate had drip marks in his skin/hair/face from deep fryer grease that had severely burned him as an infant.
  • Watched the doc cut open my lip and extract the portion of my tooth that had chipped off inside it.
  • Little league pitcher eat a baseball and yack up a huge amount of blood.
  • When I was 17, I saw human brain bits that had spattered from a 12 gauge to the head.
  • I saw a crushed foot get sewn back together. The skin under the toes had exploded from the pressure buildup. No broken bones.
  • Dude who hit his foot with the lawn mower. Bloody mess.
  • While I was at university, there was a motorcycle accident that was super fresh. Nobody was there yet. The riders were pizza.
  • Had to have my cat put to sleep because he was sick. After they injected him, I watched the life in his eyes fade as I held his little paw.
  • We went to see my mom’s coworker while she was recovering in the hospital. The woman’s house had exploded from a gas leak, killing her granddaughter and her mother - 3 of the 5 survived.
  • Watched a plane fly into the WTC live on CNN while I was at work and then watched both towers collapse. I traveled to NYC the following month and looked into where the towers once stood from the observation deck of the Empire State Building.
  • Allowed inside an apartment prior to the professional cleaners arriving where a murder suicide had taken place. My friend lived directly under the crime scene apartment. He had bullet holes in his ceiling and wall.
  • I lived a world-wide tragedy first hand - it’s creepy seeing yourself on a world-wide news clip.
  • Saw a young soccer girl come into the emergency room with her arm in several segments and a bone sticking out.
  • I took a series of mishap and aircraft accident investigation courses - they show the videos of large passenger aircraft that have crashed, complete with bloated bodies everywhere.
  • I found an old lady on the restroom floor in a huge pool of blood. She fell and tore open the bridge of her nose. One of her pupils was dilated while the other was not.

My cousin had a woman die in her arms after the woman was thrown through a windshield of a truck in a rollover accident.

Jesus, Mooney you are worse than Schlep-rock!! Whenever that dude came around shit would just break wherever you are at people get hurt or die all fucked up like
Late,
grmpysmrf

When my wife was about 14 or 15 and back in high school, one of the young girls in her class suddenly went into labour and gave birth right there in front of everyone.

I didn’t see it though, obviously.

Turned out that the father of the baby was her older, older, older step brother too.

Boy was he in trouble.

It’s possibly why I made a career of preventing death and destruction.

I left out that my aunt and uncle’s house was hit by lightning and burnt down. My aunt’s mother died in the fire. We salvaged my aunt’s brand new dishwasher when we tore the house down. They still have it in their current house.

Anyone ever see the 101 ways to die show? Or is it 1,001 ways to die? I’ve seen ONE way i’d love to go on there. None of the rest, though…

Those Bel Air comments on the forum had me in tears as well… seriously, I’m not a fan of that site at all, but it does have it’s genuinely funny moments.

Amlux, that was just about the funniest retelling of a story I’ve heard in a long time. I bet he was in trouble… [laugh]

Carmangary… I’m amazed they didn’t ‘put the guy to sleep’ after that sort of pain.

Mooney, your post gives me the impression you work in a hospital, or emergency services? I’m probably wrong. If you don’t mind me asking, what is your job? I know you worked at the space administration and witnessed the relatively recent disaster you were alluding to, is it the same one? I’m particularly curious if it involves physics, coz I’m pretty much wrapt up in that at the moment.

It’s 1,000 Ways to Die. I’ve never actually seen it (I don’t own a television, even though I work in television).

lol this probably belongs in the BBW Thread, but I post on a forum called Dimensions and this particular episode was posted there:

The commentary is absolutely hideous. Typical “bro”/“jock”/“fucking moron”/“no fat chicks” humor and the scenario is almost certainly a complete load of bullshit, but the woman is hot. I definitely wouldn’t mind going out that way…

Whoo, uh.
Yeah.
You have fun with that.

I am a specialized engineer that works with the design and system engineers to make certain they do not have single failure points in their systems that can cause loss of life. Proper design is the first and the best defense against physics and the human factor.

“Still think jet fuel brought down the World Trade Center?”

That and the jumbo jets smashing into them, yes.
