Speaking of the new album, Roy Mayorga played on ‘Alert Level’, any info on if he is playing on the new material? Was London May just brought on for the tour or recording?
HAHAHA!!! I was just laughing about this with another friend. They did this “get your name in the credits” bullshit for the last album for some ridiculous fee. In addition to requiring a microscope to see any of the 0.00001 pt font, they also printed it with some atrocious color scheme like black-on-navy-blue or something. Even if blown up to a visible size, it was still completely unseeable.
Ministry is such a parade of awful money grabs, and it’s no surprise when they always end up with storehouses of shit that nobody wants and eventually needs to be liquidated.
Wow! “I’ll sign with Sympathy for a grand” or “pins for $125?” Which is worse, I wonder. So, when is this 15th studio album supposed to hit shelves?
Also, With fuck all to do based on the stay put orders, he should have a ton of music to put out. (I mean, Jesus, I’ve already mastered 6 songs on Guitarsmith and I’ve never been more than a riff master (and I’ve actually written some original riffs. I’ve NEVER been able to do that)… If I can master 6 songs, an actual musician ought to be writing symphonies)
I would be pretty stoked if he were to put out an acoustic album. Like an actual Buck Satan acoustic album (Not industrial Western) A La Bridge School Benefit Concert set list. He could rerecord the benefit set list proper, throw on the Halloween acoustic track and then pop on 5 or 6 new acoustic tracks. He has a damn good melodic writing sense about him, I can’t imagine it would be too hard to record that… Minimal drums, bass line, and lead acoustic… Maybe a piano here and there for good measure, he could sing about whatever, not necessarily politics, but he could if he wanted to, kinda like Springsteen’s Ghost of Tom Joad album, or just maybe heart break or just whatever! get out of that lyrical rut he’s been in…
