Thieves

ok. two questions.

  1. does anyone know exact differences between “mind” version and 12" remix?

  2. what the hell is that “oh, shit, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!” at the end of both tracks? (this one is really quiet, you may have to select that bit in wav editor and normalize it or pump up the volume).

I’ve always wondered that myself. Years ago, I was really excited to track down the remix of one of my favorite Ministry songs, then I couldn’t tell the damn difference.
So, because I just happen to have Mind on my iPod in front of me, and the Ministry Box on my computer desk in front of me, I decided to find out.
The difference? At about 1:25 (after the “fight for the liberation of man” sample), Al starts doing “Thieves, Liars.” On the “remix,” he doesn’t kick into that part until 1:35. I assume this delay before the lyrics happens in another two spots, which adds up to the extended 30 seconds.
Pretty lame Milhouse.

Yeah, there’s added riffs in there making the seconds crank up too… not their best remix.

I don’t know who that is at the end of Thieves. I wonder if it’s Ogre?

I don’t know who it was, but it is my favorite part of the song.
