[reply]How wonderful would it have been if they played the whole new album first and then do their usual array of classics for the encore (without NWO cuz for as much I love this song, God-Dang, its played out!) [pirate]
Now that I think of it, They almost played the whole new album minus the last 2 songs (which are actually my FAVS) & yes I love this new record…its already a classic Ministry album for me but I shall tread lightly here cuz I sense that my viewpoint is of the minority opinion [:P]
I don’t think your viewpoint on the album is minority. From all the forums I’ve surfed and all the discussions I’ve had with other fans, it’s quite hugely embraced and, for most people, a great beacon of hope following “Relapse” and “FBTE” (both albums I like, by the way).
And, yeah, they did play a lot of it at the concert. “Amerikka” (they didn’t play) and “Victims of a Clown” are my two favorite tracks from it. Overall I was very pleased with the show.
Yeah . . . the “Oldies” are great, but some variety would definitely be welcome. It’s ALWAYS “Just One Fix”, “Thieves”, “So What”, “NWO” . . . EVERY. FUCKING. TIME. For over 25 years now.
But they almost did it this time…kinda makes me proud to be a die-hard Ministry Fan…and yes ~~ Filth Pig - Stigmata - Breathe - Flashback - All Day - Over The Shoulder ~~ The Angel - Bloodlines - Ya Know What U Are - Burning Inside - World - What About Us? - Double Tap - Ghouldiggers ~~ Revenge - Worm - Change Of Luck - Thnx but No Thnx - We Believe - Same Old Madness ~~ FreeFall - Bloodlust - Im Falling - Work For Love - Everyday is Halloween - Land of Rape & Honey - Overkill ~~~~~~~~ All for the encore! (Yes, I definitely have brain damage but ya know, its the good kind) [laugh]
(I couldve kept going…listing more amazing songs & its so awesome Ministry is this fuckin good but kinda uber-scary too, right?! [;)] [cool]
(Do 4 encores if you must, Uncle Al) that would be absolutely Divine & Id probably faint from an over-adulation derived anxiety attack! [laugh][laugh]
Yes, I know that Im unforgivably silly & downright slap-able [:)][pirate][:)][pirate][laugh]
I’ve wanted to hear “Thanx But No Thanx” and “Change of Luck” live ever since FBTE came out. I don’t think it’ll ever happen, but . . . yeah, we can dream.[/reply]
Im so glad that most people and critics like this new record…Im so tickled pink by it, I already think its a masterpiece…I really love it & they could have easily played Game Over & AmeriKKKa cuz both songs are just really so damn good…the whole thing from start to finish is like the perfect Ministry album to me…next to like Twitch, Filth Pig, Rio Grande Blood & Land of Rape & Honey!!
My Fav songs on this killer record are: AmeriKKKa, Victims of a Clown, Wargasm, Twilight Zone, Game Over…wait a minute, Uhh, am I listing the whole freakin record?! Did I mention that Im like this retarded Ministry geek?! lolol…
I dont know what it is but Uncle Al & his whacky Ministry make me so God-Dang happy…and I seriously love every single piece of music they have put out since the early days of Darkwave Gothy synth-pop and Paul Barker/Bill Rieflin daze…okay, I will admit it took me a while to get all gooey & cozy with dem fellas who replaced Connelly, Barker, Rieflin, etc…but just like muffing thru an angry vagina covered in furious haystack of pubes…once I got used to the smell, I had em licked…and I havent come up for air since…I love Ministry so much that I actually considered to seek counseling from a shrink & perhaps go on sum meds to tone down this excessive exuberance and bizarre over-abundant adulation for dees Ruffian Fuckers. [:P] [cool]
Well, life is too short not to fall in love with great art and experience wonderful things around the world so Im definitely not ashamed of my undying unconditional infatuation for all things circa the almighty MINISTRY…and yes, Mr. Gunnar, I wish da fellas would just grow a pair and say, Hey Uncle Al…we gotta mix things up a bit and not play NWO, Thieves & So What anymore (Just One Fix is da one Id hold onto outta that bunch of played out tracks).
Thats my only complaint really…Ministry have so many excellent songs that havent been played in a way long while or havent ever been performed live at all, for that matter (& literally all side projects r awesum too). It upsets me greatly, in fact. However, the shows are still very awesome and Ive always loved catching them perform when Uncle Al gallivants with his Ministry Circus thru town.
I kinda figure, Hey, this guy whom Ive idolized for a good portion of my godforsaken life is very lucky to be alive much less have the energy to relearn his old songs and probably could barely churn out anything at all up there on that stage for the other all too obvious reasons so ya know what::: Im really just grateful to still be able to catch a Ministry show after almost 40 years of impeccable soundArt & Audio Warfare Services.
I mean, Holy Jumping Jelly Beans…Ministry is probably gonna put out another 3 or 4 albums before they actually really call it quits…THAT IS VERY FUCKING IMPRESSIVE…even if they all suck thats still totally fuckin impressive…but they wont ever suck cuz theres no such thing as a bad MINISTRY album…never was & never will be. [shocked]
I even luv that song 99%rs and luv even more that song Get Up Get Out & Vote…what can I say, Im totally hopeless, man. Lol [:/] [cool]
