I didn’t know the Smothers Brothers had such hard line stances.
It’s really kind of sad that with the advent of the digital age came a few other classic casualties. Music burnings just aren’t what they used to be.
We used to rally around a bonfire and toss on stacks of Motley Crue records. Now what? We all throw a 8GB flash drive in the fire and dance around saying that we just got rid of 500 albums? It just ain’t the same anymore, I tell ya.
Even the phrase doesn’t mean what it used to. “I just burnt 500 Satanic Rock n Roll albums” means something very different these a days.

HAHA! Excellent point, Sir!

When I joined the Church Of The Later Day Saints, we would often gather to pray that the likes of Motley Crue would become grossly unpopular with the youth, so that their reign of terror, corruption and vulgarity would come to an end.
We prayed that their music would become so unpopular that if you were to be caught at any stage with a Motley Crue album in your possession you would be treated like a pariah or like a person who had just abducted a little girl off the street and drove her to an isolated location and then made wee wee all over her.
And to our prayers, God was listening. From heaven he sent us Kurt Cobain.
I wanna know what happened to these losers.
“I shouldn’t say this, but when we were in high school, we thought Mr. Hitler had some pretty good ideas. He was particularly good in the sciences. But look at what happens without God. If Hitler had accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior, he wouldn’t have done anything wrong.”

I, for one, concur. Cooking people alive in ovens without invoking the name of Christ isn’t just wrong, it’s down right chilling, how evil it is.
