Just got back an hour ago from seeing En Esch. Good show, dirty blues influence, hot chick on vox (and slide guitar!), and a set that consisted of more KMFDM and Slick Idiot than solo stuff. It was also nice to get a quick chat with filthpig! Sorry again for that little pit that broke out. I had a pretty shitty weekend and this was an awesome way to end it!

No need to be sorry!! I remember you apologized, and I wondered why. One of the things that I appreciated about the crowd last night was how respectful and non-assholish everyone was towards each other. That and no one tried to creep on me-- it was wonderful.
Do you know the name of the song they started the set with? Erica is an incredible musician, as is En Esch and I’m glad they’re performing together. I like her more than Mona Mur honestly.

Dunno the name of that song. I’m guessing it’s off the new album, which I’ve yet to hear. If it’s got more of that bluesy vibe and slide guitar, then I’m down! I heard he’s another one in the works too.
It turned out not to be an En Esch song, but one called Wanderlust Blues by Erica Dilanjian’s other band lady E & The Black Light.

Last night I tried out a restaurant I’ve been interested in for a while. It’s called Animal and it is a glorious celebration of all things carnivore.
I had bone marrow, foie gras loco moco and veal brains.
I’m sure all of that is terrible for me, but it was tasty.

It’s okay, Mooney. Veal is baby cows. They slaughter them while they’re still wide-eyed and optimistic. They’ve not yet had a chance to get mad about anything, so it’s perfectly safe . . . and delicious.
