Any fans among the ranks?

Just ordered the deluxe edition series 1-6… and my ass is broke, but I do like my cosa nostra drama.

On the subject of good tv series, what else do you lads prefer? Apart from the aforementioned I usually only bother with comedy programs.

I like the Sopranos a lot. Its a very cinematic show, which the final episode in particular being one of the best directed things I have ever seen.

In my opinion Six Feet Under is easily the best series around. Absolutely superb.

Weeds, Deadwood, Dexter & The Wire are great too.

Love Costa Nostra drama. Love it.

Does bluray make much of a difference to films like Godfather 2 ie. is it worth moving up from regular dvd? I know bluray will be the regular format soon enough but still haven’t got round to using/buying them.

I dig the Sopranos. A friend of mine got me back into that noise not too long ago. Same with Weeds.

Think season five of Weeds starts in May… Good times abroad!

Big love was great this season and I caan’t wait for in treatment and true blood to start again this summer

that particular bluray isn’t one to use as a point of reference. In fact, the “Coppola reissue” on bluray isn’t that much better than the “Coppola reissue” DVDs. I was a bit disappointed in the bluray of that one. the darks are pretty grainy. however, as grumpy said - bluray (in general) is gorgeous - and worth it.

i think my favorite bluray is my “No Country for Old Men” bluray. I love the contrast in that one. I’m a big fan of contrast (colors in video and hard panning in audio).

Maybe that’s why i’m a ministry/prongs fan - contrast*.

Why? Just curious. I thought that was a good twist and not so unbelievable. I mean there has to be at least one guy with those tendencies in any extended crime family.
