He’s either forgotten how, or he’s trying hard to please the kids while sounding like their dirty old uncle al. He’s still grampa jourgensen to me. If he doesn’t sing on Friend of the Devil…meh. But knowing him, he’ll scream on that entire album.

Auto-tune doesn’t work that way. They would still have to lip synch.
I meant in the studio. I suppose technically they didn’t lip-synch in the studio. That would be silly. They just had someone else record for them. Probably didn’t even have to show up for sessions.

The only difference between Al and Milli Vanilli is that MV won a grammy and had it taken away from them. Al’s had more nominations but never won a grammy. So I guess all Al can do is blame it on the rain.

Is there any source where we can see comparative album sales, other than from Al’s imagination? I remember Dark Side didn’t shift too many units and I’d guess Animositisomina did worse. According to Billboard placings Dark Side did better than Rio Grande Blood and Last Sucker. Animositisomina did worse though.
Maybe it was Animositisomina’s no sales that inspired Al to try and sell out.
