VERY limited edition, one-sided 12" from MINISTRY. Includes “The Missing” (from “Land Of Rape & Honey”) & “Angel” (from “Twitch”). Both songs are extended versions & appear on 12" for the first time.
Any idea if these are truly ‘extended versions’? Official release? Bootleg?
Yeah whats the deal with this? are they unofficial remixes or genuine unheard extended mixes?
Who’s gonna fork out for it to let us know? [:P]
Reminds me of that soft cell/ministry split single that came out a few years ago, had new mixes of I wanted to tell her on it. (I think, havn’t looked at it for ages, it’s something from WS era anyway)
Killed the DJ or something it was called… eh pretty sure it’s on the discog, I have it at home, in the process of moving though so it’s been packed.
I could’ve sworn this was just mentioned on here a few weeks ago. Mathematics appears to be a DJ outfit out of Chicago. These are likely clubbed-up house mixes of the two songs. I guess they’d be interesting to hear. How would someone dance to The Missing, anyway?

it was called i wanted to tell her (naum gabo edit) which was hillarious but so-so actually.
lol… gawd, I think I have at least a copy of each remix/b-side from that era on one single or another, WS singles are cool. Like one version of the Work For Love single, I think Aus only 7" I got for like 50c, heh, it has like 1 extra line of dialog in it, but for a couple of bucks (incl postage) how could I resist!
I definitely must get this. Two great songs from a great era on a 12 inch single… and hopefully in some kind of extended format worth playing in a club.
The samples they posted on the website sounded like they were just taken from the original mixes, though. Fat lot of good that does us.
Just picked this up yesterday… got a little nervous when I saw they were all sold out at the link posted here and a couple other places as well, but I managed to find one locally at the big techno store in town.
It’s a one-sided single with both tracks on one side, totally blank on the other side. Plain black sleeve (which was strangely beat-up looking!), looks like some covers were white as well from the pictures I saw online.
The feeling of being able to buy a new/old Ministry record on 12-inch again brought a grin to my face. However, after bringing it home and throwing it on the turntable, I came to the conclusion that the remixes are a bit… lame. Really low-tech remixes made by repeating some sections over the top or extending parts by looping them repeatedly. Any 12-year-old could do this on his computer, and do it better. Obviously they didn’t have access to any masters for this remix, and even the fade-outs at the end of the songs are poorly done and abrupt.
That said, I’m still pleased to have a new 12-inch featuring “The Angel” and “The Missing”, and I’m still gonna play this at the club with a smile on my face. But don’t kick yourself too hard if you missed this one… it really isn’t very good.
