Anyone here really get into Merzbow, own his albums or have seen him live???ould like to know if I’m not the only one.
He is the godfather of noise…seen him live twice now. Never lets me down. Pure genius that guy!

Great thread. I love Merzbow!!! Can’t get enough of this guy it’s like this wierd disease all I want to hear now is harsh noise when I am high.
Anyway, Merzbuddah is fucking awesome man! Put that baby on a system with HEAVY bass and crank to the max = automatic wild times

Pulse Demon (my first Merz CD…don’t like it so much cuz there’s too much upper middle end frequency which is really what hurts the ears. also it’s more repetitive than any Merz CD I have heard since. the heavy bass crunchiness of some of it redeems it though for the most part)

Is anyone near the Milwaukee area? We’ve got a pretty kick-ass noise scene here. Bands like Climax Denial, Relache, Mysterious Notes, and I-Beam put on some excellent live shows if you watch for them.
I am definitely a huge fan of Merzbow. Has anyone here heard his collaboration with Nordvargr? The album is called “Partikel” and it is a real noise masterpiece. They just do anything they want with sound, its incredible…
