All the Monks have now done their dash…with Gary Burger passing away.
If you don’t own 1966 album Black Monk Time by the Monks you need to buy it. Miles ahead of its time and one GIANT kick in the pants for rock’n’roll at the time. It still kicks rock’n’roll in the pants today actually such was it’s bad-ass-ness!!!
There’s also a brilliant documentary film about the album Black Monk Time called Transatlantic Feedback.
It’s Monk time!!!

Dang. I didn’t realize that any of them had passed. They were back together within the last 10 years, weren’t they? Sorry to hear it.
All of them except died not too long after the Light In The Attic re-issue and film…Gary stuck around.
Transatlantic Feedback documentary is on youtube…

Sad news…I just read that Scott Asheton of The Stooges died too…shit fuck…[:(]
Wiki doesn’t give death dates for Larry Clark or Eddie Shaw. But Wiki isn’t exactly guaranteed to be accurate.
