THE HELL!?

I’ve been wrong for a very long time. For YGDSOAB, I always thought Luc did vocals for No Devotion…it was Al…damn. But it was Luc on Big Sexy Land, right? If i’m wrong, someone lie! j/k

In Big Sexy Land the album, the one who sung the vocals for No devotion is Richard 23 (now known as Richard jk)

Damn. For the longest time I thought it was luc.

So did I, actually. Who did what on some of the '80s stuff is really nebulous.

But other than “We Shall Cleanse the World”, Al pulled off the voice pretty damn good, particularly on 38. No Devotion has a shit-ton of voice fx, so that doesn’t help, but he even nailed the accent. Good stuff.

I definitely prefer Al’s live rendition of Cleanse. Back in '88, until I saw the video, I thought Luc was singing on “You Often Forget”, because I didn’t know who that Chris Connelly character was. I remember wondering why Luc would yell his own name during that song. :\

Ah, the old days, no internet, no idea what these guys looked like and who sang what. The ignorance was part of the fun.

1002

I prefer Al’s vocals over 23 any day. And we’ve become spoiled, if you ask me.
