David Lynch - Crazy Clown time
Cut Hands - Afro Noise 1
John Zorn - Interzone
Prurient - Bermuda Drain
The Fall - Ersatz G.B

I’ll probably pick up some more new releases when I’m in Toronto just after Christmas, so I really don’t know what my year-end list is. I do like that Prurient album.
the new wolves in the throne room album is killer, also the guys are wicked nice and fun to work with. side note.
i loved the new agnostic front album, the h2o covers disk, the new tom waits album (i picked up a leak, it still counts), the leak of bowie’s Toy is fucking amazing (minor sound quality issues non-withstanding) even though i already had most of the songs, i also loved the new blitzkid and darrow chemical company albums.
A number of notable albums but very few real standouts.

I was in a photography class with Nathan in college a long, long time ago. He seemed like a cool guy, not full of himself like many of the Olympia, WA hipsters that populated that town. I’m continually amazed by his progression as a musician. Glad to know success hasn’t turned him into a dick
KMFDM - WTF?!
Skinny Puppy - HanDover
Tom Waits - Bad As Me
Mona Mur & En Esch - Do With Me What You Want
Steven Wilson - Grace For Drowning
Big Black Delta - BBDLP1
Radiohead - The King of Limbs

you went to evergreen? you are the 2nd other person i know on this board who has spent time in this area. haha. the NW loves its MINISTRY…
I was disappointed by this album. It started off great with Feburary MMX but then it just showed that they were stuck in Shadows Of The Sun mode. Shadows even had to grow on me a little. Ulver is the most progressive band out there but this album didn’t show much progression.
AWOLNATION - Megalithic Symphony
Dead Skeletons - Dead Magick
Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues
Marissa Nadler - Marissa Nadler
Mastodon - The Hunter
O’Death - Outside
Skinny Puppy - Handover
The Dad Horse Experience - Dead Dog On A Highway
The Builders And The Butchers - Dead Reckoning
Tom Waits - Bad As Me
Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross - The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
VA - We Bring You A King With A Head Of Gold
William Elliott Whitmore - Field Songs
Stuff I bought that wasn’t good enough to include on this list: Buck Satan & The 666 Shooters, Kate Bush, Chris Connelly (sorry Chris, it’s not that it sucked it just didn’t hook me like some of the others), Covenant, Current 93, Florence + The Machine, Ohgr, Puscifer, Rasputina, Thou, VNV Nation
I think that’s all the 2011 albums I actually bought in 2011.
