It was basically a “box sex” of both “Wish You Were Queer” and “Another Prick In The Wall.” I saw it at Hastings once, before I got into industrial, and I was KICKING myself for not having picked it up then.
Also came with the ad for the piece of the fence, but I had heard all about Atkins’ stunt beforehand.
This is so stupid. Why bring the the fence back…They only play ONE (1) song from that time period anyway and AL doesn’t even sing it! I guess Thieves is an appropriate song to have OTHER PEOPLE play for you.

I bet Bell switching off for vox is due to the lawsuit.
I think it’s bullshit. ANY band can play whatever they want live. When it comes to recording it and making money off of it that’s when the problem comes in…So basically my buddy’s cover band could be sued by nickelback for not asking permission to play that stupid blowjob song live? BULLSHIT! What about the “just got paid” song? Did they need to get permission from ZZ Top to play that? Doubt it…I think it’s an attempt to try to turn the fans against Paul…Not possible.

i think that the venues have to pay some sort of licensing fees to the american society of composers and they are responsible for what is played in their clubs. so as long as they pay their fees any band can play whatever songs they want (at least in america).

Sort of. Nickelback or ZZ Top wouldn’t sue them, ASCAP (or one of the other licensing companies) would. Here’s an interesting read about the issue:
The fence on this tour is a stage prop and not meant to be climbed.
Previous fences have been real fences.
In one fairly notorious instance, the fence came down right onto the fans in the pit. I believe it was in Boston. ‘Someone’ tried selling segments of said fence that were not really authentic.
4 years is old, I mean it’s not like they’ve been around for like 30 years… oh wait.
1981 is like the new 2004. Wait, you didn’t get the memo? Yikes! I wish they would play the older music of the last generation you know. I remember when that band NIN released that Ghosts album…god that sure was a long time ago…wait, that’s jourgensen-logic…ha!
Surprised we haven’t heard anything about a few rowdy fans or so deciding to throw things and whatnot, you’d think one of the unsuspecting would zero in and get a little angry, since the whole false advertising thing and all…
Umm, dude says “Let’s play some old ones” and then breaks into “No W”.
what’s great about that is that when he says ‘lets play some old ones’ everyone starts cheering. probably expecting something good. (aka real ‘old’ stuff) and then he says ‘no w’ and everyone basically falls silent.
idiot.
i think im just going to read Chris’ book again and pretend that I’m going to see those tours instead.
