Who’s the big chunky hippie looking orc of a man that was playing guitar around this time? The big chap with the nasty hair. Who is that guy?

I presume you’re referring to Louis Svitek.
When I saw him play on the Fornicatour he had a short and very smart haircut.
One of his highlights from the Sphinctour dvd was when he was holding up returning to stage because he had to take a shit.

Al said it but Louis was droppin it.
Feels to me like the most archaic song on FP. The drum programming and vocal ambience particularly sound like they’re a match for anything from 89-92.
Everything about this song works and not one element feels out of place! The piano line is indeed “devastating” ( who is responsible for playing/programming that part?) and the droning bass still sounds amazing to me hundreds of plays later. Would kill to hear a deconstructed or acoustic rendition of it although I’m sure at this stage in his career Al would either discredit this song or ham it up with all kinds of tasteless instrumentation if done differently…
the original drum loop (noreen) is a sample from mtv raps i rhink it’s ‘it takes two to make a thing go right’ slowed down with b.reiflin doing fills and toms for the '95 version
