And if it becomes a trend I’ll delete the damn thing myself because only I should have the right to do something this obnoxious. But other people can post their chronicles in this thread if they want.
7/21/09 - there are these huge disgusting millipede things that have appeared in my bathroom lately, usually around the sink but once on the side of the shower. I guess they stay close to water. I am irrationally afraid of them and they have ruined what used to be the enjoyable experience of taking a cold shower to cool off. I spend the whole time with one eye open scanning the tub to make sure they are not going to crawl on me with their little fucking scrambling legs.
ugh!
that thing is fucking nasty! gave me chills just looking at it. that’s bigger than any silverfish I’ve ever seen.
are they poisonous?

House Centipedes are insectivores and are harmless to humans. They might actually be doing you a huge favor by eating other insects in your home.
Use to own a house that had a few of those in the basement but nothing can compare to the horribleness of the giant flying tree cockroaches that would plummet down our chimney and hit the flue with a loud ‘tink’ when we lived in Houston. We had to get a cat just to prowl the house at night and keep us safe from them.
Yeah that sounds horrible. I loathe insects. And it’s strange because I remember as a kid not being afraid of them at all. In fact I liked them! I built this thing out of Tinker Toys once (remember those anyone?) that we called the “bug hospital” we used to capture cicadas and other large insects that were “injured” (usually by our feet) and “nurse” them back to health…
But at some point I became deathly afraid of them.
I know the House Centipedes eat other insects, but I don’t want them to multiply too much. They also eat the gels in body lotion and shampoos according to Wikipedia so theoretically these things could continue to thrive even when the smaller insects they’re preying on are gone…
Those centipedes give me chills. It’s like watching an eyebrow spring to life and crawl across the ceiling. They usually appear right as I’m about to go to bed and then I spend the next 3 hours trying to hunt them down.
Yeah, fuck those creatures. Ugh. We never had them in my house until 4 years ago. Haven’t seen them in awhile though.
A year or so ago at a friend’s house, my friend saw one in the bathtub and spat on it. The force of his spit ripped it in half and both halves were twitching. Nightmarish!
I’m not one to be scared of bugs and am a loser and tend to be the guy that traps the bees in the cup and sets it free and silly shit like that… but man do i hate those fucking commercials when they have like roaches crawl on the screen or close ups of bugs or they got this new one for the orkin man, where a giant roach or some shit comes to the door and rings the bell and tries to weasle his (and i say he because it’s not a baby human) way inside…
But spiders are far worse. Faaar worse. Especially in Australia. Fucking ‘huntsmen’ spiders. And ironically, the littlest ones tend to be the most lethal.
I’m terrified of them. I try to conquer this by never crushing them when i see them, but capturing them and lettin em free outside.
I have failed to conquer this fear doing this, so far… [:(]

spiders are aliens! look at those liitle bastards up close! seriously, catch one in a glass jar and then inspect it up close. it’s exo skeleton is creepy! the underside of it’s body even more creepy! I’m sure that’s where Giger got the model for face huggers in the Alien movies.
