It’s been far too long since we have paid proper homage to our one and only prongs creator. It’s 2012, I figure between this board and the old board I’ve probably been coming here for close to 10 years, if not over 10 years at this point. So let me tell the mighty Afra thank you again for giving me (would say “us” but I don’t want to speak for the group)some place to fritter away my time on the comp.
this place is my home page and I wake up in the morning and read the posts as if it were the morning paper. some columnists/articles I look forward to reading, others… maybe not so much, but I read everybody’s posts and I’m glad this place is still around.

I’ve not yet been able to meet him (we always seem to be one step ahead or behind one another as we pass through various countries and states) but I got mad love for that dude.
He was actually the first person via internet that I’ve ever talked to. I joined the Piss Army 8 years back and jumped on an opportunity to be onstage with Ministry. Afra called me directly and got me all squared up with the details. That gave me one of the best nights of my entire life, allowed me to meet some of my heroes, including Al, and started a friendship with Scaccia who is now like a brother to me.
Afra was doing so much for the PA back in the day. It was a few years before I started any flirting with Prongs. He’s always been a great and thoughtful contact of mine online. I don’t think we’ve ever even talked about music. It’s always politics, culture, travel, current events, etc. Dude is a sharp feller and got a heart of gold too.
Anyway, if this is an ass kissing thread, my lips are proudly planted too.
This place is tits. Thanks for everything Afra! Only request I’d make is maybe implementing Tapatalk support so I can waste more time on here on my phone. Using this site on a regular smart phone browser blows. Otherwise, this place runs pretty. fucking. smooth. And I’m impressed.
I’ve got a pantech burst. Everything loads fine, it just is a pain to have to zoom in to read anything or have to scroll up and down while you’re trying to type shit. It’s all tiny. I use that Tapatalk app for an aquarium forum I’m on and it automagically reformats everything for your phone so it’s all a nice size and you don’t have to zoom or scroll around or tap on tiny little buttons. Like I said, this is a great site, it’s just not fully optimized for little screens.
This by far my favorite forum of all time. My old one used to be Marilyn Manson’s forum The Hierophant. It was a little bit like here except you had Manson and NIN worshippers. There were also people on there like Gunnar and grmpysmrf who could talk shit with the best of them. It’s also where I first met voidhead where he called himself Wolf Eyes. When the phant shut down it left a void online. I was on PIG’s forum on theswining.com and I joined avalanchers but neither were the same. Then I decided to come here and the void was more than filled. Sure we’re all pretty die hard for Ministry and the related side projects, but it’s nice that it isn’t full of a bunch of Jourgensen worshipers. In fact, we’re all pretty jaded. Thank you very much Afra.
I met Afra at Retrospectacle and I couldn’t get over how nice he was and how much he helped me out. If it weren’t for him I might still be on a train circling Chicago.
I can’t imagine how stupid you must be if you can’t follow the EL Train maps.
I really like this place and its creator and caretakers an awful lot. My taste in music, my social skills/behavioral management, and my degree of technology savvy greatly benefitted from this place and its pretty cool cast of characters. Even the worst of you are people I consider A-OK. Hell, even though we don’t talk Ministry nearly as much these days, I still keep coming back, as this is pretty much my go-to source for news and reviews. You all have in varying degrees had my back during weird times, and though I’ve yet to meet a damned one of you in person, I consider a great deal of you friends.
