I’m not getting the correlation between the NRA and some mental midget going around shooting people in a shopping mall. You are aware that some of those malls sell knives, i.e. even long katanas that could maim or kill just as many people?

Probably not, based on the amount of time it takes to wield a katana versus the amount of time it takes to pull a trigger. the kill ratio his likely to drop tremendously based on the amount of time it takes to actually get close enough to do some damage. With a gun it doesn’t matter how fast one flees you’re not out running a bullet.
IN short, the time that it takes to kill 14 people for the 14 bullets in a clip is as fast as it takes to pull the trigger… How long to kill 14 people with a sword?

The NRA has their own agenda (I can only guess) to turn the US back into the wild west. Is somebodies right to possess entertainment worth more than the right to life of someone else? The idea that your gun is going to “protect” you is limited to a ridiculously minute amount of situations.
BTW the NRA is against regulations of any kind. this includes a registry and licensing.

Not really the point I was making. With knives and swords there is an opportunity of escape. trying to out run a bullet once you’ve been targeted is impossible. So, yes, in this case it is better to kill someone slow than fast.
if it’s certain you will die, then fast will be fine.

Exactly my point. not only would they probably be dead (at least some) but with the swiftness of bullets how many more than 23 would have been hit as well? 23 with a knife is equal to what 50-60 with a gun? even more if it’s an automatic?

in the time it takes to reload you might be able to shank one but certainly not two.
there’s a reason you don’t bring a knife to a gun fight and it’s not due to the knives “reload” advantage.

How many would he have taken out before he ran out? If somebody is spraying bullets only a fool runs toward them. Doesnt matter that he has to stop and reload. Still more effective than a knife. Doesnt matter that you could run out of bullets, until you do a gun is way more effective at killing people. But i suspect you already know this.
