He loses points for drastically changing the lyrics to a song that was already perfect.
Dimmu Borgir- Stormblast XXV
And that almost doesnt count cause that album is a remake
Guns and Roses “Appetite for Destruction”.
That one was great, “Lies” had a few good songs but the rest of their material was bullocks.
And no grumpysmurf, I’m not trying to get your knickers in a bunch, I just think GnR falls into this list.

No problem! [;)] To each their own! Besides I only really care for the acoustic songs on the Lies. Although, “Move To The City” was not a bad track on the “live” songs

That acoustic version of You’re Crazy owns. I personally like that whole EP. One of the best EPs imo.
Heres one I think I’ll catch a lot of shit for:
Creed- self titled

NOOOO!!! Are you kidding?! Christian rock sucks, Pearl Jam sucks, why did we ever need to combine the two?!
Your ass deserves not only a lot of shit flung your way but also a crucifixion! [;)]
They honestly dont come off as christian rock to me. I dont remember one jesus referrence on that whole album. Trust me, I’ve listened to generic christian rock and every song has some referrence to jesus, the lord, god etc. And this is before Creed got really annoying. But before I start sounding like I’m defending Creed I’m gonna end this with saying that I didn’t mind the first album. Its certainly far from something I’d normally listen to now. You gotta keep in mind that not all of us are into cool music when we’re 12
The Avalanches - Since I left you.
That acoustic version of You’re Crazy owns.
Oh yeah! that could quite possibly be the most underrated song of their catalog! Man that song is superb! that whole shuffle feel and the Slash solo (Of course)… it’s just a perfect song!
I like One in a Million a whole lot too! but certainly You’re Crazy is a high light song for them!!

Wu-tang Clan (Enter The 36 Chambers)
Black Flag (Damaged)
King Crimson (In The Court Of the Crimson King)
Slint (Spiderland)
Gang Of Four (Entertainment)

Psh, What are you talking about?! I was spinning experimental avant-garde in my bedroom when I was nine years old! [;)]
No, you’re right about this one… My taste in music totally sucked when I was that age too. I can’t stand people that act like they were hip from the moment they left the womb.
And I gotta admit, you got really big balls for even mentioning Creed in the first place, and I respect that.
Thanx. I could almost say that I was hip from the womb cause I was brought up on a lot of good music. But of course I had my embarressing tastes as a child. Some of which you can see in the bands you were into before you were cool thread

Actually, the first Creed had a decent single. I don’t remember the name, but it was pretty dark. Then all of a sudden it’s total 180, and it’s the band we all know and hate today. I wouldn’t invest a dime, but if I were to guess, i’d say the first album might be the most decent of the bunch. Judging by ONE song.
Other than that, I can’t really think of a bad band with one good album. I usually avoid the bad ones altogether. Maybe one will come to me, but I dunno.
Public Enemy - Yo! Bumrush The Show
Megadeth - Rust in Peace
Ozzy Osbourne - Blizzard Of Oz
The only A Perfect Circle album I like is 13th Step, but…well, they’re far from being a terrible band.
Wu-tang Clan (Enter The 36 Chambers)
Black Flag (Damaged)
King Crimson (In The Court Of the Crimson King)
Slint (Spiderland)
Gang Of Four (Entertainment)
Can’t argue with the Wu. I don’t remember liking anything off the second album except for the one track where all nine members take a verse.
Slint doesn’t count [:P], and isn’t this thread about TERRIBLE bands? Had they continued maybe they could have matched it in quality.
King Crimson and Black Flag each have at least a couple more albums that range from good to excellent.
King Crimson don’t deserve to be in this thread. They should be in a ‘Great bands with ONE terrible album’ thread.
Creed are xtian rock, but are more subtle so they can be sold as mainstream and not as kooks. Their band name is an acronym for Christian Religious Eucharist Eucharist Divinity
