I went to see Mad Max for the second time the other night and before hand they played a trailer for the new Terminator…it looked like the biggest steaming pile of dookie that I’ve seen in a long time…I mean just laughably awful…it was such bad self-parody…even down to Arnold reciting his "I’ll be back’ phrase…such schlocky Hollywood dreck…I know it’s a dumb post but I just had to rant…

Side note:Mad Max the second time was even better…the first viewing was such an assault on the senses that I was just trying to stay strapped in…got to check out more detail this time around…helluva fun ride that flick…

I attended a pre-screening of the new Terminator last night and it was actually pretty good. Way better than I was expecting.

It’s better than T3 by a long shot. Maybe as good or a little better than Salvation. Nothing will ever beat T2.

The commercials look absolutely terrible.
The effects are just the worst.

I honestly thought I was watching an ad for some video game or something.

I attended a pre-screening of the new Terminator last night and it was actually pretty good. Way better than I was expecting.

I attended the Aussie pre screening last night here in (rainy) Melbourne (free tickets from my radio station no less).

I can honestly swear under oath that it was not “actually pretty good” in any way, shape or form.

It made Mad Max Fury Road seem like Lawrence Of Arabia.

It’s better than T3 by a long shot. Maybe as good or a little better than Salvation.

I once videotaped a starving horse standing around under a tree in an empty paddock - with the intention of sending it to the authorities to investigate.

That 4 minute horse footage was infinitely better than Terminator 3 AND Terminator Salvation COMBINED…so you lose by default.

It’s merely for the die hards at this point. James Cameron seems to approve though…

He’s still an asshole. What he did to California was unforgivable. I won’t pay to see anything that jerk off is in. At least he’s trying though, I guess.

He seems to really be trying to reach out to his fans these days, he’s always got stuff on his FB page like that. I like his films, don’t care about his politics and am hoping the new Terminator will be at least entertaining. The only great Terminator was the first one anyway, the 2nd one’s like a kid’s film in comparison. It’s entertaining, but hugely overrated. I saw Terminator when i was about 9, when it came out on video, and it was a formative experience in my young life [:)]

T2 has been my favorite movie for pretty much my entire life but I’m not going to bother with this bullshit. They just keep fucking it up over and over again. It’s like watching your high school sweetheart getting railed in a gangbang.

Being better than T3 or Salvation means fuck all when those films were ass (the ending of T3 was pretty great though).

I’ve not seen any of the films past T2, but this one looks especially horrible.

3 is pretty decent. 4 is a massive turd.

This one is not looking much better.

3 gave us Arnold’s butt.
4 gave us a most epic rant from Christian Bale about tearing down lights.

I have no plans to watch either, but based on the above, I appreciate 4 more.
