barker really had no style in ministry… i mean, the parts are so simple you just can’t find his style. revco was a bit more fun, that goofy bass is just awesome. one of the things that’s really missing on the horrible “cocked and loaded” cd.
although paul had great bass tones, that’s for sure. especially distorted ones, these were amazing.
the stigmata guitar tab is correct (but actually goes BBB/D-bend E; three strums on B5 chord), but that was already available; no w is close, but there are some mistakes. continue posting the tabs, this is actually interesting, rather than discuss how bad the lastest ministry input became.
Paul’s style is very simple, but it’s always kind of come across as a “less is more” perhaps? His basslines have always been very catchy to me. Particularly in revco. 38 and Cracking Up are VERY FUCKING CATCHY, heh. Repetitive, but for those songs it just doesn’t even matter.

dead on, man. thats how i thought of it “so simple its fucking genius”. minimalism is something producers need to work on, over-doing a song by cluttering it up with a bunch of crap can get annoying. unless of course its pink anvil, which they were doing intentionally and was more about heavy crazy filters than putting bunch of different things in there. its like ministry doesnt even need a bassist anymore, they all play the same shit with distortion and overdrive pedals. thats why i dont listen much to newer metal, anymore you can rarely distinguish between bass and guitar cos theyre doing the same thing. older ministry and godflesh definitely knew how to seperate and make each instrument recognized.
anywayyysss, sorry for the wait, havent tabbed in awhile. ill try to make it so that there are 4 and 5 string versions of the songs ill do. BTW, any requests??
just out of boredom, i tabbed synth bass in “you know what you are”.
