I’d most certainly hit the festival, however, there’s a likelihood I’ll be in the U.S. after September. But if that doesn’t come to fruition I’ll go to this, so will be in touch about it.
@emseaeye: Swans are a must. ‘Various Failures’ is the best comp; it features much of what’s probably their best album - ‘White Light From the Mouth of Infinity’ - plus other gems. ‘The Great Annihilator’, ‘Children of God’, the ‘World of Skin’ album, and select tracks from ‘Soundtracks for the Blind’ will change you for the better

Hahaha…I remember a while back when Swans reunion tour was confirmed as well as Godflesh Hellfest set I started a thread on the Goflesh Forum with the heading “Godflesh Confirmed As Support For Swans US/UK Tour”…they all went apeshit when they knew they’d been fooled hahahahaha…turns out many a true word said in jest?

The guitarist is the most energetic, craziest guitarist I’ve ever seen live. The bassist (another girl) is so robotic and docile it almost doesn’t even seem like she knows where she is. The singer is a total spazz.

I don’t think she’s done it for a long long time.
My friend gave me a bootleg vid of a '98 Merzbow gig a few years back and Melt Banana are the opening act. She’s wearing a tracksuit which she flings off into the audience. She’s totally naked and rolling around on the ground. Then she gets up and rubs the microphone on her hairless snatch for about a minute or so.
She’s quite hot looking too, yeah.
