Disc 6 made sense, as that was the disc that included the 1000 Homo DJs tracks. I guess they must have too many of those box sets sitting around unsold.
heh heh, You think theyâre handing 'em out one extra disc per order at a time?
Could be something like that. In the '90s Cleopatra put out some compilation double-CD sets that included a bonus âmysteryâ disc of something they couldnât sell enough of (I have a goth one that includes a pretty damn good Sex Gang Children album).
They probably pressed up a bunch of extra discs in the event of returns/exchanges. I know they had a bunch of extra Chicago 1982 LPs that got sold off at one point.
From what I could tell, the box set sold pretty well as itâs already on itâs second pressing.
Whatâs funny is I paid almost about $150 the second it hit the shelf for Record Store Day, and you can get the second edition for $60. Whatever, totally worth it. One of my all time favorite box sets.
Good to know.
Yeah, I still recall freaking out about how I was even going to get a copy of that box setâŚbut no copies had been available at the âWithout Sympathyâ event in L.A. (to my surprise), none of my local record stores in Portland got a copy of the box set (I called all of them), and I didnât figure I could find it online for a reasonable price. Then it just popped up in the Cleopatra store and I ordered away, paying the original âreasonableâ ~$150 price. $60 would have been far nicer, butâŚcâest la vie.
