The recent DJ tours have gone over pretty well, and I think the same booker for those is working on getting these shows together.
I don’t think it will be a full blown band performance for Download like the Eyes of Stanley Pain tour, probably just cEvin and Phil on their gear with Spyby singing some tracks. I also don’t expect to see cEvin playing the Drumasaurus if it does comes together. Still this is exciting news, I’ve never been disappointed seeing these guys play live.
I liked Download when I saw them way back when but none of the other bands interest me much. If it’s in LA on an easy night I’ll hit it, otherwise I’ll lose no sleep over missing it.
Add some platEAU and it’s perfect.
I love Phil, but I don’t see him getting involved in this, even if he did make most of the music. He’s clean and sober after a long while, and in school at the moment. I love him but I wish only good for him.
I don’t see why being clean and sober would prevent someone from taking a part or something. cEvin isn’t much of a drug user except for the gardening, not sure about the others. But if they’re anything like cevin, they shouldn’t be too bad. If he’s got other priorities, that’s another story and you can’t blame the guy for doing what he think’s best. Only as long as he still contributes with cevin, all’s well. Last plateau/download albums were ace.
