I don’t think we’ve tackled this subject at any time.
I’m assuming we all have pets or have had pets.
any of them do anything silly?adorable?
as my earlier posts have shown my wife and I are cat people.
well, one of our newer cats, she’s roughly two years old now, plays fetch and has for the last year and a half.
She thinks she’s a doggie which is odd cause we don’t own any other animals other than cats. My wife bought these yarn mousies that have little rattles in them and we throw them across the room and she scrambles across the room to get it and then trots back with it in her little mouth.
Other times we will just be watching tv and she will come up to us with the mousie in her mouth and drop it in our hand for us to throw. She wants to play while we sleep too! everyday we wake up to a different colored little mousie in our bed next to our heads. It’s so cute!
And as I’ve mentioned we don’t have any other type animals so we don’t know where she learned it. we got her as a kitten from the pet store and the cats and dogs are obviously separated… so where did she learn this???
plus she’s a little chatter box, chirping and purring all over the place.
What’s odd about her is when we first got her she loved to be held and cuddled, for like the first 3 months we had her but ever since that 3rd month she doesn’t like it at all and tries to immediately get away whenever we pick her up, although, it’s weird 'cause as she’s trying to get away she is purring. strange cat!
BTW Skarecrow I’ll have you know Karma kicked us in the ass for what I did to Harley. Our other new kitty (he also is roughly 2 years old) got crystals and became plugged up and couldn’t pee and it cost us a grand to have him catheterized and cleared out. poor little guy was in such pain. but he’s home now and my wife is done crying so things are better. just thought I’d pass that karma bit along! so Karma literally made us pay for what happened.
Late,

Karma is bullshit grmp, but $1,000 for a cat op.? That’s a revolting price. Regardless, glad to hear your cat is better. I have a dog, an English Pointer nearly 15 years old. He’s on the way out though, got the cancer. He was a cool fucker in his day but now he just sleeps all day but still perks up whenever food appears. Had a cat about 9-10 years ago and they used to be best buds, always messing with each other. Dog was totally whipped though; the cat used to kick him out of his bed and take it for itself.
Grmpy, your cat is just participating in cat behavior. She’s pretending the mouse is prey and she’s bringing it back so you’ll throw it again. I’ve known several cats that do this.
As for me, I’ve got a cat and a rabbit. I had two dogs, but they went with the girl in the breakup last year.

I’ve got a bunny too. She’s a great pet! Unfortunately she’s back in MN with my wife (who moves out in July), so I miss her quite a bit. My roommates have two cool cats and had a dog that got out and was run over last week I miss him.
Well I had to put the dude down today. One of his legs started to give out so didn’t want to see him struggle with the basics. He had a good run and was looked after well so I hope he enjoyed his run as much as I did.

damn mick. that sucks man. i have an english stafford. found her on the streets. she’s been with me for 8 years now. best goddamn dog i’ve ever had. her love and devotion to me is riveting. here’s a pic of my little badass.
I have one male and one female cat. They are both very vocal. The male is like having an infant human in that his vocals and actions change for what he wants: cat litter, food/water, play, attention, etc.
As far as pet tricks, my male cat also fetches. Metallic pom poms and fur mice are the preferred items. The pom poms cost me $930 when he ingested 5 of them many years ago; thus, he’s now limited to fur mice and fake fur cat nip toys. Every night at around 11:30 pm, he takes Rocky the fake fur cat nip squirrel in his mouth and howls while sitting on the stair landing. He then runs up the stairs and drops it at the bedroom door. When I get home from work, Rocky is downstairs again. He’s age 15; I treat every day as if it were his last.
My little girl is going to be 7. She also loved to be held when she was a kitten and now she hates it. Last October, she had to have emergency surgery for an infection. $1700 later, she’s fine and my happy little girl is happy once again.
