That’s what they’re reporting.
I think it will be made official in the next few hours.

BRUTAL.
Can’t wait for all the mac-tards on Facebook to start crying, but Goddamn if I don’t owe the man my Shadowgate experience in grade school.
RIP.
speaking of reactions on facebook, one of my friends just posted this, and yes, I did laugh, whether it’s wrong or not:
It appears the recession is leaving no major company unaffected these days.
Even Apple lost Jobs.

epic win. i’m going to HAVE TO steal that.
I’m far too busy to cry. I think I’ll download an app to do it for me.
There was some Asian walking around with a sandwhich board over his shoulders, with a photo of Steve Jobs on it, RIP, with heaps of people’s signatures, and he was carrying around a texta for people to write on it.
It was the funniest thing I had ever seen in my entire life. Apart from my fat uncle falling down the stairs and breaking his collarbone on a tricycle I’d left there on my 5th birthday while he was dressed as a cowboy-clown.
The Jobs jokes are lame. You just know there’s been losers, since his illness was public knowledge, have been proving their mighty wit by “working” on these one or two liners and couldn’t wait to go on facebook with their hilarity once his death was declared.
Don’t know much about Jobs but the Simpsons did get him good there a few years ago.
The span in which something is fresh, exciting, interesting, or relevant nowadays in the Facebook and Twitter era can only be measured in nanoseconds.
One of my friends last night posted (yeah, on his Facebook) that he was “sick of hearing everyone talking about Steve Jobs”. And a bunch of people were chiming in about how everyone and the media is making way too big a deal about the guy, can’t we talk about something else, etc . . .
The guy had only been dead for a few hours for crying out loud.
I’m no fan boy and I hate his stores and all the goony goons that stumble around there with their Buddy Holly glasses and skinny pants. I hate their products (I hate everything, though, so this isn’t just some anti-hipster thing) and I hate anyone who waits in line 8 hours to buy a phone.
I’m not sorry he’s dead (I’m also not celebrating it). I just really can’t be bothered to give a crap.
I do recognize his importance to pop culture as an innovator, visionary, and a businessman, though. And I fully understand the newsworthiness of his death.
What gets me is that all the people I see in my feed that are bitching about “oh, Steve Jobs died, who cares, so what?” are the same people who spent a full two weeks very publicly crying their eyes out about Ryan Dunn.
Fucking idiots.
Not that I don’t agree with the “so what” part of it. I just know a bunch of fucking idiots apparently.
i can completley understand someone’s indifference to the death of someone they did not personally know.
although i own few mac products, i think most everyone that is all pissy about the coverage, they are all using tech that has come about partly, if not mostly, because of apple. Ipod? itunes? Smart phone? GUI computer interface? fuck, the newton was like 10 years ahead of it’s time. who here of a certain age has NOT used an apple 2e in school.
then i see these people saying how itunes RUINED the music industry. (facepalm)
if someone really didn’t care, they’d just be on the street yelling about how they don’t care, because without the contributions of jobs/woz, apple, and gates, and others that deserve just as much credit, they wouldn’t have facebook/etc to cry about ryan dunn at all.
in summation, i am not saying people should worship they guy, i just am irritated by the ignorance of many many of the people i have/had respect for.
If it wasn’t for Steve, I would have never figured out how to sell lemonade.
HAHAHAHA!!! Did someone hack it or is that just a mock up?
anyone can edit the articles on wikipedia. go for it, gunnar.
Heh heh heh!!!
I might have to make a few corrections of my own.
I’m happy to say I’ve never bought or own anything from apple!
This article manages to double-kill Jobs, while sucking Edison’s cock at the same time:

I have no doubt that the world without iPhone or iPad would be perfectly fine
